Bedding down in the MMP

I think I’ll assume the veg mode. MWAH!

And on my day off, I accomplished…nothing whatsoever.

We, did schedule my annual physical for Thursday, and got my normal Jimmy John’s #7 for Monday, but…that’s about it. Lazy old man, I am.

rosie good luck, persistence is a necessity when dealing with any large bureaucracy, be it government or Big Business. Go get’em.

Have no idea what mattress I have, bought the set in 2003 when I returned from overseas and so far I get my 7-8 hours sleep with it, so I’m not planning on changing anytime soon.

Laundry is done, I rearragned the small appliances in the kitchen, and make a grilled cheese for lunch. I’m making Italian chicken with cheesy rice and sauteed green beans and mushrooms for dinner.

No, I envy her.

I do not, mainly because I do not enjoy my hands drying out and cracking open, and the spontaneous nosebleeds.

: crosses appropriate and inappropriate appendages for rosie :

Tugig, the extended forecast calls for rain/snow for me on Saturday.
And I see Glen Frey just died. :frowning:

Yeah, well, you are of a less than pleasing appearance. In addition, your Mother selects an unusual wardrobe for you.
:dubious:

There seem to be two projected paths. One has us getting hammered and you getting some. One has us getting some and you getting hammered.

I’m betting its Option Three and we’re all in for a hammering. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well place it in thine butter churn – thy mother uses military footwear!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Our weather-guessers are lousy. They generally call for three to six inches of snow, which is enough for the average amnesiac Pennsylvanian to completely FREAK THE FUCK OUT AND GET BREAD AND EGGS AND MILK AND TOILET PAPER AND OMG SNOWMAGEDDON!!! What this means is one of two things will happen:

  1. The storm will miss us completely and we’ll get (at most) a dusting and people will have to eat French toast for the next two weeks, or…

  2. We get slammed and can’t leave the house.

Either way, the average amnesiac Pennsylvanian forgets how to drive and my commute (assuming irk isn’t called off) turns into the sixth level of hell.

I am NOT looking forward to the weekend.

Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night over to the church house. Good food. Good people. Good times. As usual. Neither one of us et all our steak so I have the leftover here at da cave. Maybe my version of Philly cheesesteaks will appear on the menu this week.

rosie and gotti appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re SSDI. I have several friends who applied, got denied, appealed, and then were approved. Social Security loves hoops. Also, feel better soonest gotti.

I shall now go snoop a couple places on teh intartoobz and then it’s beddy bye time. I’s tahrd and irk resumes tomorrow. Le Sigh.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

You speak in the familiar with me?
You gallbladder is overactive. :dubious:

Thanks for the love. I know there is no comparison at all but FOR ME it’s still unpleasant. I shall not complain anymore. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not complaining but there is no heat at irk.

I’m thinking of making a grocery run on Thorsday. It’s supposed to get above freezing and even though we don’t really need anything, it’s better to be prepared. Just in case.
I may park the truck out front as well, because the alley doesn’t get plowed.

f course I’ll be eating spaghetti for the next 3-4 days.

I’m straightening all my stuff and now am trying to decide how many years back to keep my tax returns. I have them back to 2007. Then I need to put down new shelf paper.

The problem with doing a major organization and cleaning of one’s space is that you can’t do a “little bit”. It’s like cleaning one spot, that makes the spot next to it look bad, so that gets cleaned, and so on.

This is going to take forever!

I envy you living in the Keys, dammit!

Fingers crossed for rosie and ** gotti**.

We were busy at irk today and it looks like things are beginning to pick up in addition to having a few special projects we’re working on.

As to the OP, I have a Sealy Posturpedic ™ firm queen pillowtop and love it. I upgraded about five years ago. The last fella had a sleep number that I had a love/hate relationship with. It was great once I got it adjusted, but there was a small leak on my side of the bed that left it less firm by morning.

Back in the day, I had a waveless waterbed that slept well but was a pain to get out of. I’m thinking that my next bed may well be an adjustable.

I used mine wrapping up fish.

Night, all!

[Classical Samuel L. Jackson]Oedipus![/Classical Samuel L. Jackson]

No but sometimes my liver gets a little ufgeregt. :stuck_out_tongue:

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work, and it’s a balmy 19 degrees outside.

Good Mornin’ Y’all!! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 28 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 52 and sunny for the day. Winter in south Jawja!

I get to head to the north forty first thing this mornin’. Rah. At least I can leave from da cave instead of goin’ to the orifice first. Excitatement abounds!

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

When I let Higgs out, the back door thermometer read something like 12° or 13° - my eyeballs froze, so it was a bit difficult to discern. Thank goodness for the garage - it was mid-40s in the car. Poor **FCD **- the truck is parked outside…

Gate 2 opened late this morning and traffic was really backed up. I was 5 minutes late getting to my desk, but the office is mostly empty anyway, so no biggie. Fortunately, there was no wind, so the walk from the car to the building wasn’t too terrible.

The pear I dumped in my cottage cheese is crunchy. Why would they can an unripened pear?? Dammit.

Thus beginneth pseudo-Moanday.

Happy Tuesday!
