Howdy Y’all! I survived irk! Go Me! Dindin is already to go in the oven to bake, which I think I shall do around fourish. Enchilada casserole. OLÈ!
Home - holy crap, Food Lion was a zoo! I don’t know how much was pre-storm panic and how much was like me - stopping on the way home for some fuds…
Rotisserie chickie for supper with stuff on the side. Lots of tax stuff in the mail. Long, busy day. C’mon Firday!!!
Home from irk and now officially on vacation.
People down here are getting their French toast fixin’s as well. I got a puppy cupcake since I missed out on cake in the break room today. Puppy cupcake is better.
Tonight’s supper brought to you by the letter C - chicken, cauliflower, corn, and crescent rolls. And cookies for dessert!
The enchilada casserole was muy nummies. Plus leftovers for both of us for N.O.L. tomorrow. Win-Win! The Harvey’s Sto’ has their deli fried chikin on special tomorrow. Thus dindin tomorrow shall be that plus whatever sides I pick up to go along with. They have really good fried chikin and we haven’t had it in a while and neither of us minds eatin’ chikin two days in a row. Win-Win again!
OYKW had a rough day, bless his heart in the good way. He is preparin’ for a hot soak in the tub followed by an early bed time. I’s tard as well so mayhaps we shall both have an early bed time.
BigKitty yay for vacation!
I have nothing I need to start my taxes.
I’m not in any hurry though, I always have to pay.
Spaghetti for supper. I’m stuffed.
I think I may freeze the rest of the sauce.
I wish I had a hot tub.
metal mouse, I came down here from lake effects snow country too. But among the lack of real snow, the lack of equipment to deal with it, the stupid ass drivers and the hills, I’m not as good at driving in the stuff as I used to be.
Tonight was pan grilled chicken smothered in mushrooms and onions, sauteed broccoli and eggplant.
I have made the executive decision to retire to the boudoir with OYKW to watch teevee until sleepy time. I have a feelin’ sleepy time will be within the hour. Can’t stop yawnin’. Plus, 'tis cold out so time to snuggle under blankey.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
At least the drivers in your area are probably better at coping with rain than they are here in Sacramento. I swear they lose what minds they have as soon as those drops start coming down, and they don’t have a lot of mind to lose! (Says the woman who grew up on the Oregon coast, so similar climate to yours.)
In other news, irk started way irksome, but got better. I arrived on campus stupid early (3:15 when class is at 6:00). Next week, I just might drop off at home for an hour or two. Would cut the amount of stuff I’m lugging around. Since I’m only on this campus one day a week, and would have a short bus ride to get here from home, would probably be easier and I can find better dinner foraging at home than I can here.
I’m currently chilling out in the library killing time with my web-surfing. Considering that I’ll be in class until 9:00 tonight, I’m very glad I have tomorrow off.
Catamount, puppy cupcake?
Just turned on our electric blanket to pre-warm the bed. We can keep the house nice and cool because we keep the bed toasty. YAY!
It’s too cold in here. Everywhere. All the time.
I need to get out of here at some point.
I think I’m done for the night. MWAH!
I’m much the same way. Never did see the sense in giving Uncle Sugar an interest free loan every year.
Sun is long gone and the temp is back to 19. Pulled a HB 4-point out of the closet for tonight.
Oh – I forgot dinner. It was smoked pulled pork pulled out of the freezer from an earlier cooking session in warmer weather. The Old Wench made a really good sauce for it and it will provide my lunch-dinner tomorrow as well.
The first picture is the one I got. I ate the head and now I’m debating whether I want to eat the tail now or tomorrow.
Nettie, you ride the short bus? :o
I had a @#$%&* evening. Despite it being 23°/11° wind chill (W 13 G 23 mph) I joined about 20 others for a good run outside. When we finished, I went back to my car to get my stuff; however, I took off my warm, winter gloves so that I’d have the dexterity to pick up my phone & wallet. I have the gloves & key in one had & the wallet & phone in the other; as I get out & close the door, the key slips, inside the car. :smack:
Once I finally got home with the car, I nukalated some water for hot chocolate to help thaw me out; however, since the water was so hot, I added some room temp liquid to cool it off a bit. My choice for the add’l liquid was rum!!! Mmmmm, tasty & warms the insides as well after getting locked out!
Good man.
Had a bad day. Just everything was FUBARED.
Not all was to related. Done for.
Just SNAFUED.
Hardly any irk snafus. Bad day.
Special Army Navy Foul Up? :dubious:
