Bedding down in the MMP

Oy! My usual 40 minute commute took 1.5 hours this morning. The sleet began sometime between my getting up and going down to start the car. Winter sucks.

Took a little nap, now I feel alive again.

I’m chowing down on some spaghetti. I’m freezing the rest. I like spaghetti but not this many days in a row.

Took a little nap, now I feel awake.

Thinking about chowing down on some pasta bolognese, will likely share it with neighbor who visits everyday

Howdy Y’all! Irk was survived and comestibles have been procured for dindin. OYKW should be along shortly. I’s hongree!

{{{Taters}}} we’ve missin’ you!

Sari I like makin’ big batches of stuff like skettie sauce and freezin’ it for later. I have some in da freezer as I post even.

rosie I ain’t too sure about bologna and pasta, but to each his/her own!

I have no visiting neighbors.
The older woman next door is hardly ever home. I’d share with her if she ever came over.

Been a slow boring day.
Which is a good thing.

**Swampy ** I usually don’t make so much and Sah-son usually eats more. He doesn’t like pasta though, he eats the meatballs and dips bread in the sauce. We ran out of rolls, so I have lots more left over than usual. I should make big pots and freeze it though. I used to be way more efficient than I am now.

Supper will be hamburger helper stroganoff, jazzed up with onions and fresh mushrooms. We just had a guy over giving us an estimate on some work in our yard - he’s supposed to call back on Moanday.

Other than that, glad to be home - it was a busy busy day, and freekin’ cold! No sun by the time I left the office and it feels like it wants to snow. We could get a bit, but less than an inch is forecast. The big 'un is coming on Firday and Sat - could be 20"… or not. We shall see.

Well, looks like I’ll be running da Hood starting next week. No snow as of 6:30. I shall make baked fried chicken with herbed **N.O.T.**s and corn with poblanos.

You trying driving in the snow. Uphill. Under fire fromImperial Walkers.

Taters! : tacklehug :

Supper got dumped - it smelled too funky and I didn’t want to take any chances. We were going to go to the Old Town Pub, but their parking lot was overflowing to the surrounding streets. So we ended up at Ledo’s for a meh meal. It was snowing when we came out, and it’s already accumulating - see my FB for a pic of my deck. They’re threatening 1-3" tonight. Dammit.

Tomorrow morning will be interesting. I suppose I should have found out the snow delay guidelines before now. Guess I’ll check the company website.

Stoopit snow.

Tonight’s gustatory excellence: Pork chops with baked NOTs and roasted cauliflower. Tomorrow night’s is meat loaf with sides that are TBD. If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears. My friend Tom has suggested creamed Brussels sprouts.

I went to the sto’ this afternoon after irk to get the essentials. I now own a gallon of milk, two loaves of bread, two packages of English muffins, two dozen eggs, and two pounds of steel-cut oats. I still need a few items, like butter and maple syrup, but I’m good to go.

Howdy Y’all! We’re home from Evening Prayer over to the church house. We decided after dindin we needed a little mid-week deheathenization.

BigKitty my freezer contains skettie sauce, beef veggie soup, chikin’ noodle soup, chili, a couple of smoked <snerk> butts! <snerk> and maybe some smoked chikin, and a brisket. All this talk of sketties caused me to get a package of sauce and a package of meatballs outta da freezer for tomorrow night’s dindin.

Rockin’ creamed fart blossoms sounds like a punishment. I like mac 'n cheese and steamed cabbage with beast loaf.

The weather PTB say we shall have rain tomorrow afternoon, evenin’, and Firday. We shall see.

Ima go snoop a couple things on teh intartoobz and then it will be beddy bye time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

I’m old and had a stroke once. I can get confused between Swampykins and Mooom without trying too hard.

We had oyster stew and fried shrimp for supper. Cold weather food.

Congrats on new store Dooggiiooo.

I’ll have you know that thirteen years ago I drove that stretch of 40 in a raging ice storm at 25 mph all the way to Winston-Salem* with no problems. AT-ATs are easy to dodge if you watch where they step.

*This is why BigKitty absolutely refuses to drive in ice. She has learned from experience.

Well, it’s not a official promotion, but then again, I’ve been unofficially at the store for 2 years now.

Guess who woke up and can’t get back to sleep.

Congrats Doggio

I’m going to feel like hell later.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified, so no YAWN. ‘Tis 45 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 60 and rain this afternoon, tonight, and tomorrow mornin’. We shall see. As soon as OYKW finishes up purtification, we’re goin’ to have a <snerk> Quickie! <snerk> brekkie. After that I shall head to the west forty. Rah.

doggio congrats of the unofficial promotion or whatever it may be. If it means more money, that’s what counts.

I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom so I reckon OYKW is about ready to go. Good, cause I’s hongree!

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Well, not enough snow to shut us down, but enough to make the drive in cautious. The roads were mostly just wet, but almost everyone seemed to be taking it easy. I gassed up the car, just in case, but I expect once I get home on Firday, I won’t leave the house again till maybe later on Sunday, depending on if we get plowed out or if I have to dig us out. TBD.

Anyway, in the office, ready to rock and roll! Happy Thursday!

Aw, poor baby. We’ve got blizzard warnings up all over the tri-state area, and a predicted 8" to 1’
I almost forgot:
BLURF!
