Best stand-up comedy acts of the last decade?

Seconding Katt Williams. His delivery slays me, and his physical work is excellent. I got into him through the show Boondocks (he does the voice for A Pimp Named Slickback), and whenever I flip past one of his shows airing on Comedy Central at night, I’ll stop and watch some. But don’t bother if it’s been edited.

I think one of the things I like about him is that he does that sort of overplayed pimp/stoner schtick, but also plenty of material about raising his kids as a single father.

I have to second Russell Peters. I saw his special while in the hospital after my c-section and I was crying laughing and clutching my stomach. Probably not the best thing to watch after abdominal surgery, but it was really funny.

Let me chime in for my love for Mr Izzard. All I have to do to crack my husband up is yell “I’m covered in BEEEEEESSS!!! HEEELP!!” His humor just slays me every time.

I’d also like to put my vote in for George Carlin. Classic, classic, classic. And dearly missed.

A vote for John Caparulo

Doug Stanhope is incredibly offensive, but at times hilarious
