Best stand-up comedy acts of the last decade?

Looking for some DVD recommendations.

Jim Gaffigan. “King Baby” and “Beyond the Pale”

I think it’s “Beyond the Pale” that has his bit about holidays…histarical!

"The Christmas Tree…that sounds like the behavior of a drunk man…

[in a woman’s voice]Honey…why is there a pine tree in the living room?
[in a drunk’s voice]I LIKE IT! We’re…we’re gonna decorate it…for Jesus! Then we’re going to hang our socks by the fireplace…fill them with CANDY! Then I’m going to hang some leaves from the ceiling and see if I can’t get some action. Now I’m going to go puke on that couch…Merry Christmas…

Gabriel Iglesias

Jim Gaffigan

Brian Regan

All Youtube samples, plenty of short clips.

Eddie Izzard. Any of the DVDs, really.

Eddie Izzard’s Dress To Kill is one of my favorites.

eta: beat me by 2 minutes, dammit!

George Carlin’s best album from the past 10 years was good too.

Complaints and Grievances

Thirded. Eddie’s great!

Stewart Lee, 90s Comedian. I laughed so hard by the end I thought I was going to throw up.

Mitch Hedberg:

Margaret Cho.

For my money, the best stand-up comics working today are Patton Oswalt and Louis CK. Both have multiple CDs and DVDs out. They’re also both quite heavy on the language.

Mitch Hedberg.

Ron White.

Jim Gaffigan.

Steve Byrne.

Mitch Fatel.

Best show I’ve seen in the last 5 years was Mike Birbiglia. I love Gaffigan, but Birbigs blew him out of the water.

Chris Rock.

Lewis Black.

Louis CK.

Wow, someone other than me mentioned Gabriel. The guy is piss-your-pants funny.

Louis CK is a great one too.

One that hasn’t been mentioned yet is Christopher Titus. Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding, The End Of The World Tour, and Love is Evol are all fantastic acts.

for the past decade? DAVEEEEE chapelle. anziz ansari. galifinakis. HEDBERG is iconic. chris rock. patton oswalt.

Seconded, I never found him funny until he got kids then he turned into Bill Cosby. The Epitome of Hyperbole is hilarious and I think you can watch it instantly on Netflix.

I think Eddie Izzard has a new special out too.

Eddie Izzard x 10. Best is “Dress to Kill” followed by “Definite Article” and “Glorious” (this is in order of my favorites.) I don’t know how pitiful it is to admit this but I can do DTK word for word. My goddaughter and I used to break out in random riffs of it and the husband used to say that when he had no clue what we were talking about, he realized it was Eddie-code.
Good stuff.

(My username is taken from just one of those riffs on Definite Article)

Jerry Seinfeld, "I’m Telling You For the Last Time!
