I thought that was smart on Dustin’s part(concerning the lie). This was before the HoH so he was covering his ass. If Dick or his group had won HoH, he could have said “I was with you all along and we got screwed” but since Jessica won, he can basically tell Dick to go to hell now.
Guessing that either Dick or Danielle will probably be going home this time, the other three had better start winning HoH competitions or they will all be gone in short order. I expect as soon as someone outside of that alliance wins HoH, the alliance will probably fall apart. Amber is sure to cut and run as soon as she is in danger. Put Dustin and Amber against each other and the sparks should fly.
What really amazed me during the HoH and after the win was how polorized the house has become. The alliances were clear when they were pairing people off during the HoH and that winning celebration was crazy. You would have thought they all just won the $500k prize.
Either way, it’s even next week. Jameca and Jennifer can’t participate for the next HoH so the odds will be even.
Dick overplayed his hand. He should have worked to get Eric out later but had to go off as he usually does. It worked before but he’s pissed in people’s kool-aid one too many times. buh-bye!
I think Eric’s AP assignment might be Amber. He was kind of pushing both her and Dustin a little last night and I think he had a little more animosity towards Amber.
More on the Ambergate scandal, by the way. I wasn’t clear on this before, but apparently the story is that, on two different occasions, she lied to her boyfriend that she was pregnant and needed money for abortions, and then used the money to feed her meth habit. What a charming woman.
Jen was being pretty kind to Daniele last night. She doesn’t hold grudges. She even says that she has a “problem” with a tendency to forgive people who don’t deserve it. At one point, she told Eric, "Daniele hasn’t really done anything to me. Eric said, “Except try to get you evicted every week.” Jen said, “oh yeah” (it was cute).
Later, the Nerd Herd 2.0, led by Dustin, cornered Jen and started badgering her for being nice to Daniele. How dare she.
There was discussion between Dustin (who’s acting like HE won HOH) and Amber about putting Jen up against Dick instead of Daniele. They are idiots.
Oh. I was wondering why she lied about having an abortion (i.e., lying about a miscarriage or two might be smarter because of the sympathy associated with something like that, whereas an abortion is more likely to piss people off). Makes sense from a “I’m a crazy, evil bitch” POV, I guess.
He called him a “faggot” too. I think no one said much to him about it because he was so desperately, obviously, transparently trying to push buttons that they didn’t want to take the bait.
Dustin himself seemed completely unperterbed by it. He told the others something to the effect of, “that’s all he has to go after me for. I’m gay. So what.”
I sometimes think that Dustin comes off as arrogant but I will say that he’s remarkably cool headed about homophobia – whether it’s patiently trying to answer Kail’s inane questions (without laughing at her) or calmly ignoring Dick’s desperate trolling. He’s had opportunities to do a lot of grandstanding and turn himself into a cause celebre but has consistently risen above the (sometimes naive) ignorance and/or outright baiting by others and so far has declined to milk any sympathy or sanctimony out of it.
I hear that Dick is (still) being a major pain in the ass the last day or so. Apparently, he pulled out his “fuck you in the ass until you bleed” line again and rebranded it for Dustin (it was previously reserved for Kail).
WOW, I just saw a couple of YouTube clips of Dick’s behavior this morning and it’s absolutely UNREAL. He apparently started his day by banging pots and pans inches from Dustin’s head as he slept. He then walked around and screamed obscenities non-stop at everyone nearby. If you want to see Dick at the height of his complete assholishness, check out YouTube.
I know that Dick’s plan is to veto Daniele so that he can get voted off instead of her. Personally, if I were in the house, I’d make it clear that he can either veto himself and continue to abuse us or he can veto Daniele, leave, and we’ll give everything he’s given us the last couple days and then some to Daniele. I’d make it clear that if she stays, her life will be HELL. I doubt I’d follow through, of course, because Dick’s behavior is beyond reprehensible.
Does Daniele really deserve that? She can’t control what her dad does. I think she’s kind of whiny and entitled but I don’t think she’s anywhere near her dad on the asshole scale.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but since the shows haven’t aired yet on CBS, shouldn’t the nominations & veto competition info be considered spoilers, and therefore boxed?
Puzzled Moderator: The thread title does say “Spoilers.” Are we talking about things that happened after the 8/9 show?
I’ve been alerted to box spoilers in the post by interface, but I’m not sure what’s spoiler and what’s not, since I don’t follow the show. I’ve boxed the whole deal. If that’s overkill, please let me know and I’ll happily repair.

Anyone else out there wondering if America’s Player voting is rigged? I, for one, was surprised that America directed Eric to try to get Dustin nominated.
Does anybody else smell the possibility of the America’s Player vote screwing things up royally for Eric on Thursday when they direct him who to choose for eviction?
