Big Brother 8/3-8/9 *Spoilers*

The funny thing is, as crazy as all these people are, the one I really can’t stand to listen to is Eric.

I triple-fast forward through him almost every time now. He just goes on and on and on. And it’s always a monotone with almost a Katherine Hepburn vocal tremor. And it’s always a frigging list of things. And the items in the list are always prefaced, each one individually. And the prefaces are always introduced with qualifiers and disclaimers. I guess he honestly doesn’t realize that he’s just running shit into the ground, and that people’s eyes glaze over when he gets going.

Like his disastrous pleadings to Zach last night. Zach was obviously itching to leave, and Eric just couldn’t find his shutoff valve. Even after Zach told him point-blank that he needed to leave, that he just couldn’t absorb it all. When Zach went outside to give Kail her time, he said, “Please don’t make this a novella. I just had to listen to a novella.”

And according to Sucks:

The three critical voters — Jessica, Amber, and Dustin — were all manipulated in the diary room last night into voting to keep Eric. No proof, of course, but live feeders say that each of the three was summoned in sequence, and each of the three emerged from the room with their minds changed.

Okay, I’m not watching this season, but just caught a few minutes before I could find the remote – why are three or four of the women dressed like bunnies? Er, bunny rabbits?

It was part of the veto comp. They were bidding on stuff they would do to get the POV (days on slop, days in bunny suits, etc.).

I can’t believe how dishonest and misleading these edits are tonight. It’s disgusting how they’re painting Amber as the victim. they also santized her story.

And the worst of it is that they’re totally ignoring Amber’s antisemitic rant.

Thanks, Dio.

And misleading editing is kind of a tradition on this show, don’t you think?

:smack:

Wow. This is gonna be a good couple of days.

And just after all hell started breaking loose at the end of the broadcast, I throw on the live feeds and they’re still just showing trivia. Come on, I wanna see Dick’s meltdown!

Eric is annoying and awkward and kind of pathetic, but Dick is full blown ass. All his scheming is justified and everyone else’s is despicable. He’s a nut. Half of me wants him gone and the other half wants him to stay and keep screaming at everyone. as for Amber, she’s a meltdown waiting to happen. She tells a perfect stranger (on TV!) that she faked a pregnancy and he’s the asshole for repeating the story.

Sorry for posting again. I missed the edit window due to board-freeze. Here’s what I’d added.

ETA:

I hope I can get this in time for the edit window. This may well be the best season ever. And that was probably the best designed HOH comp ever. It included actual (albeit obvious) strategy meta-decisions above and beyond the game.

Also, will somebody else please write ChenBot’s cue cards? Nobody gives a shit about how Kail failed. We wanted to see her reaction to the twist. Jesus, people. Don’t you watch your own show?

I noticed that the Julie didn’t tell Kail, on camera, that Eric is “America’s Player” like she did the other evictees. Makes me think that Kail is the first of the jury members. But she didn’t mention that either. A flaw in the Chebot’s programming maybe?

They’ve only shown two of the evicted houseguests (Nick and Joe) the America’s Choice thing so far, as far as I can remember.

Sorry for the multipost, but the feeds are back up …nothing of any real spoiler quality, but if you want to wait until broadcasts to see anything, don’t read below…

Dick continued to go off on people in the kitchen, everybody pretty much told him to piss off. Right now Dick and Daniele are holed away in a bedroom, Daniele is crying, saying “I wanna go hoooooooooome!”

She did more than that. She told her boyfriend that she’d had two abortions. Eric brought that up to Jessica because he thought it illustrated what kind of a lying, manipulative sociopath that Amber is. They totally sanitized that whole episode and made it look like Amber was the victim when really her entire antrum was just more calculated manipualtion.

It really burns me that they didn’t show her spewing her Jew-hating puke. CBS condones antisemitism.

Funniest line from the live feeds so far:

Danielle: I screwed us, that’s what I did.
Dick: That’s okay.

Bastard doesn’t even own up to having any fault in the whole debacle! God, that’s so funny.

Why was Dick yelling at Jameka at the end of the show? Can any live feeders clue me in? Before they cut to commercial, I noticed Dick getting in Dustin’s face, but I have no idea why he would go after Jameka.

How dumb is Dustin? Didn’t he say to Dick that he “voted Eric out, that was the deal”, when he actually voted for Kail? Then he, oopsie, celebrates the HOH winner with Eric? Those HOH celebrations are always a dead giveaway as to who your alliances are with.

She clearly needed a reboot. I’m just glad she didn’t start saying “But first, but first, but first, but first…” Someone would’ve had to call tech support.

The live feed missed the entire rest of the fight in the yard last night, but when they got back inside, Dick was confronting Dustin again. Dustin just said “Yeah, I lied about voting against Eric to throw you off your game.”

Then Dick started yelling at Amber for being a liar and then Jameka for being a liar and then Dustin for being a liar … he does know what show he’s on, right?

Eric pretty much told Dick that last night: Everyone here is lying, it’s part of the game, so get over it.

I’m glad for what happened, but god I hate having to hear Eric yap nonstop for the next two days.

And Abraham Foxman of the ADL criticized them for showing it on the live feeds. Seems like the network is in a no win situation.

I still don’t understand why D & D told Jessica about their plan to backdoor Eric - they didn’t need her support, and must’ve known she’d tell him.
