Bizarre Signage - A Directionless MMP

Up, caffeinated, off to work in a little while. I’m in da Hood tonight.

Good luck with the doc, sari.

I have reduced Lopezilla to two 13-cup containers of chunked yumminess! I de-fuzzed the peaches, but they’re not quite ripe enough for jammin’, so I’ll put them into a paper bag in the hopes of speeding the process.

After the load of sheets in the washer are hung on the line, I’ll be heading to the convenience center with assorted trash and recycling. It’s still gloriously cool and the windows are all open. Truly a beautiful Firday in Southern Merrylande!!

**BBBobbio **- are they going to make you stay all day?

**sari **- here’s hoping for an uneventful visit with the doc!

Mooom, when I get local peaches, sometimes after two days, jammin’ or making peach butter are the only thing to do with them.

When I stepped outside this morning, I wondered if I’d need gills to breathe. There was an otherworldly fog all over. It was beautiful if you didn’t need to drive.

HOWDY ALL! Finally made it to Firday! Tis been a long week. I don’t have to irk this weekend so I see some slothfulness in my future.

Good Luck with the Dr. appt sari.

Hugs to Rosie and Doooggggiiiioooo.

I am jealous of Mooommmm’s cool weather. It’s still very hot and humid here. We need rain. The grass is crunchy. Funny, it has been raining on my little island up the road but nary a drop here at irk.

The work fridge door got stuck open by a case of water and so all my goodies had to be thrown out. I had some yogurt w/ fruit and some chicken salad I was looking forward to having for lunch. Mayhap I will have to trek to the Publix (ha) to get some lunch. Stupid water.

It is only one more week before the accreditation team comes and we have made great progress in getting a binder together with proof of compliance to the standards. We will not be 100% but I feel we will do well. Some of the other programs (bowling) will not do so well. When this is over with I am celebrating.

For those following along on Louie’s saga: He is doing well. the testing on the tumor shows it is intermediately aggressive. Could be worse. I have opted not to do radiation as it is 21 treatments over 7 weeks about 250 miles away. I would basically have to leave him there in a cage. I couldn’t stand that or the $8K bill so that ain’t happening. Chemotherapy is an option but that requires a
Veterinary Oncologist which is over 150 miles away and a drug that has horrible side effects and costs over $500 per month. He is not sick now and I will not do anything that will make him sick.
So this leaves surgery which is the gold standard anyway. Since the margins were not clean on the first surgery we assume it was not all removed. There is no sign yet of it growing back so I am stumped on whether or not to have a scar revision to remove more tissue or to wait a few months and see if it comes back. Decisions, decisions. I don’t know what to do. Any thoughts?

OK back to irk for a while. I have some comp time I need to use so I may skedaddle early today.

Have a great weekend everyone.

All done with the colon blow. One thing they don’t warn you is the stuff keeps you going and going like a demonic Energizer bunny for another 12 hours after the scoping.

Now I just have to wait for pathology to see if I have the family inheritance or not. Between the size of the polyp and my first-degree relatives’ experiences, it’s not a really rosy picture. My mother gets scoped annually and I think the rest of my brothers are on the every three years plan. Suspect I will be on the same schedule. :frowning:

I’m going to try to enjoy my weekend of being unemployed. Big plans are to can 'maters and homemade salsa. I really know how to live it up.

Next weekend I’ll be making pickles.

Howdy from da cave! Actually I have been here a while but I accomplished mowage of the back yahd first thing when I got home. Go Me! Looks like tstorms will abound in about an hour. Anywho, mowage accomplished, showerage accomplished, and ingestion of a sammich accomplished. The consumption of a beerverage is in progress.

gotti glad you survived. I’m on the five year plan right now. No one in the immediate family has had problems but I think the five year plan is the over sixty plan by default.

{{{butters and Louie}}} it’s so hard to know what to do. I say as long as Lucky Louie seems to be doin’ ok, then all is good. Bless his little heart. I mean that in the good way.

Long freakin’ day. Skimmed. rosie’s .sig.

My doc has me on the 10-year plan - no family history of colon issues. My people prefer to die of heart attacks or strokes.

And on that note, we’re getting ready to leave in a bit, so I’m outta here till tomorrow.

MWAH!!

Woeful day at irk. In fact, about the only thing that would have made it worse would have been an active quarrel with someone. :frowning:

Glad I have three days off to hopefully scrape together some emotional health before dragging myself back in.

{{{nettie}}} Use as much as possible of the time off for yourself.

Still no storms but the weather PTB keep sayin’ they’re comin’. We shall see.

I think soonish I shall go join OYKW who is upon the bed watchin’ teevee. I’s tahrd!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Finally home!

My exam went well other than sitting in the waiting room forever. My doctor was called away to perform emergency surgery. I have a yeast infection at the incision site and got some powder for that.
Even the drive didn’t spaz me out too much.

So I am good to go for another year when they want me to come back for a yearly exam. They didn’t bring up mammograms or the other ::shudder:: and neither did I.

I’m sorry **Gotti **, that exam sucks and I can’t even mention it by name.
I hope all goes well.

Metal Mouse I’ve had a stress test but mine was chemical.

Butters I don’t know what to tell you. I think you have to weigh how much suffering is worth how much time. It’s always hard to know.

Damn I just feel so much better now!
So glad this stuff is over, other then I am still sore.
One more week and I can go back to doing everything normally.

Cool!

So a lady is having a loud conversation about weed, 3 aisles over from the cop shopping for a greeting card. Just another Friday in da Hood.

Butters, I don’t know. If the clean up buys him more quality time, and Louie tolerated surgery well, maybe go for it. Either way spoil the hell out of him.

Sorry, gotti. Hope the pass soon passes.

{{{{Nettie}}}} Take some you time.

Glad you’re gonna live, sari.
And thanks for all the hugs, y’all.

Fluffy and Aunt Mom are coming for a visit today. And I’m out of half&half for my coffee!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91. Looks like a nice day for some quality cee-mint pond time. I’m told a buncha folks are comin’ over for a pre-celebration of my day of nativity, which will be Wednesday next week. I’m happy with an early celebration especially since it means I get a DQ ice cream cake. In a little while I shall venture over to the church house to fill a couple of coolers with ice. I was told I shouldn’t have to be the one to do that. However, I am the only one with a key so if we want to get ice from Hoshi (my pet name for the ice machine) it would be me who gets said ice.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I must purtify. One must look one’s best to receive guests.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Good morning!

*Spamalot *was cute, not bad for a community theater production. Unfortunately, the French guard mumbled too many of his lines, so unless you were *veeeeeeery *familiar with the movie, you’d have missed most of it. And the mics on the singers weren’t always set to a good volume and their voices got lost behind the orchestra. But overall, we had a good time - definitely worth the $14 geezer ticket price!

We didn’t get home till almost 11 and didn’t get to bed till nearly midnight, so I just got up at 7 and **FCD **is still in bed. Safe to say we were both exhausted.

I think I’m going to try jammin’ today, assuming the peaches ripened on the windowsill and then in the paper bag. And I’m going to launder a load of towels. Beyond that, we’ll just see.

Happy Saturday!

Incidentally, swampy, very subtle how you slipped that bit of info into the conversation…

Just sayin’

What can I say! Subtlety comes naturally when one is suave, sophisticated, couth, kempt and shevelled.

Purtification has been acheived. In a bit I shall go on an ice raid. I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom so I assume OYKW has arisen. I shall at some point find a suitable throne to sit upon whilst he attends to my every need.

Dear Meghan Trainor,
I don’t like pop, I hate auto tune, and the girl power musical genre has been done. I should avoid you like the plague.

Yet I downloaded your album last week (I don’t know why) and have listened to it in its entirety every day since, and I fucking love it. Wtf?
