Cake Day - A Sweet Treat in the MMP

Avatar 4 plot idea!

Have you tried salt water? It doesn’t work for everyone, something mouth chemistry being different, but it does work for others. Regardless, I hope you feel better soon.

Next time, please call as soon as it starts. There needs to be a record of the incidents. Should it come to it, it will help someone file for a restraining order.

We’re having a lazy day today. Not much to report.

Happy Sunday!

You sure are smarter than the average bear! Thank you so much for the suggestion. I’ll think about you while I’m making them too cause you made my life easy.

After the thing in Phx, Mom will be staying here for a couple of weeks so that means I’m going to have to wash all the bedding on the cat’s bed because they are such dedicated shedders that they can shed all the way down to the mattress cover, which is a load all by itself.

Back when my sisters had young children, I would always forget that children eat like birds (small amounts often) and their parents tend to get into the same habit just because it was easier. It’s always disappointing when your guests don’t eat much, but I’m sure it wasn’t because they didn’t like the food.

I think I would really enjoy a 1/4 inch thick slice and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I probably wouldn’t even be able to finish that much but the flavors are very complimentary.

Way back when, Denny’s used to have a sundae made with vanilla ice cream, maple syrup and bacon. I ordered one because I needed to try it and it was really good.

This is a good idea. The space heaters could also be useful later because if you buy some nice energy efficient oil-filled heaters, it is cheaper to heat the room you are spending your time in than to heat the entire house.

Oil filled heaters don’t get hot enough to burn bare skin or set fur on fire and they shut off if they get knocked over.

You would be amazed at the things you can find online if you start looking. There are several brick and mortar stores in the Valley that stock popular yeasts, molds and bacteria but you really do have to go online to find the specialty stuff.

Beer making is just like any other hobby. Some folks find their level of happiness by being able to do perfectly acceptable work. Other people go all out CDO over it.

I’m not CDO over cheesemaking which is good because I have hit a ceiling. If I ever do cut into a good cheddar I’ll serve it with champers or something bubbly.

Wanna talk floss and fabric?

Handegg and hockey were busts this weekend. But I cleaned, and napped. Got meatloaf and mashed potatoes with sauteed green beans and mushrooms going for dinner. And a Wisconsin Old Fashioned. :tumbler_glass:

LMAO

Nice!

You’re being concerned. that’s what good neighbors do.

We have stainless steel cookware that are stored on a rack hubs hung on a wall. Sometimes passing cars will flash the rack with their headlights if we don’t have the blinds closed properly.

GG has just learned that if he stands up and tags a pan, it makes all of the pans and lids swing around and make wonderful noise.

Wanna guess who is looking at different window coverings? Geeze, Louise.

PM if you’d like my sainted mother’s never fail recipe for saucepan brownie. Dense, moist and no dirty mixing to clean.

Oil filled heaters are the best (and safest)! They radiate gentle warmth in a very soothing way. My roomie is currently hogging mine~she’s from Arkansas and needs her room to be 80 degrees.

Yep, at least college handegg in my neck of the Big 10. The WI Badgers beat the Cornhuskers by 1 point. At least the KC Chiefs won.

Time for me to crawl into bed, after unplugging the electric throw that has been preheating it~oxygen safety and all that. I’’ll make an effort to read one of my mystery novels but rarely last 20 minutes. Then it’ll be time for my new friend the CPAP to join in. So far, so good.

Sleep tight all.

I’m sure I remember that someone in here has at least one family member with a serious fondness for ramen. Apparently, at least one store (not sure of geographical area) is known to be limiting quantities on that. OTOH, walmart.com does not seem to be limiting quantities. As a test, I picked a random brand/flavor and they let me put 6 12-packs in my cart with no issue (didn’t actually buy them, I have plenty on hand).

heh when I started eating ramen you could get 20 for a 1.25
