You sure are smarter than the average bear! Thank you so much for the suggestion. I’ll think about you while I’m making them too cause you made my life easy.
After the thing in Phx, Mom will be staying here for a couple of weeks so that means I’m going to have to wash all the bedding on the cat’s bed because they are such dedicated shedders that they can shed all the way down to the mattress cover, which is a load all by itself.
Back when my sisters had young children, I would always forget that children eat like birds (small amounts often) and their parents tend to get into the same habit just because it was easier. It’s always disappointing when your guests don’t eat much, but I’m sure it wasn’t because they didn’t like the food.
I think I would really enjoy a 1/4 inch thick slice and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I probably wouldn’t even be able to finish that much but the flavors are very complimentary.
Way back when, Denny’s used to have a sundae made with vanilla ice cream, maple syrup and bacon. I ordered one because I needed to try it and it was really good.
This is a good idea. The space heaters could also be useful later because if you buy some nice energy efficient oil-filled heaters, it is cheaper to heat the room you are spending your time in than to heat the entire house.
Oil filled heaters don’t get hot enough to burn bare skin or set fur on fire and they shut off if they get knocked over.
You would be amazed at the things you can find online if you start looking. There are several brick and mortar stores in the Valley that stock popular yeasts, molds and bacteria but you really do have to go online to find the specialty stuff.
Beer making is just like any other hobby. Some folks find their level of happiness by being able to do perfectly acceptable work. Other people go all out CDO over it.
I’m not CDO over cheesemaking which is good because I have hit a ceiling. If I ever do cut into a good cheddar I’ll serve it with champers or something bubbly.
