I like to keep the other person involved informed.
I usually tell a close friend or two, though I usually just include the casual details (what positions we used, how many times, how long, choice of toys, etc). and leave out the really intimate material (the person’s name).

I tell three specific close friends, because they can always tell by my expression that I’ve been up to something anyway. That’s it though. No general announcement.

Look, I’ve been married for almost 5 years now, and I still tell everyone about just virtually every time I have an encounter with my lady.
