Should it ever happen, I imagine my story would be in the National Enquirer
I did.
Once.
In 1960.
For about 20 minutes.
Yes, of cousre you can. Not everything about one’s privates needs to be publicized. Sometimes, tho, it’s hard to keep it down, like the first stayover of a new relationship, for instance. Tho there is still no need to rent a billboard, I can see little wrong with talking about it to one’s close friends.
Balance, man, balance.
Absolutely. What happens in my bedroom remains strictly between me and whichever hand I happened to use that night.
Hell, if & when it finally happens (my wedding night, if I can live up to my ideas & I have so far), expect a TMI thread somewhere at SDMB (hopefully not in the Pit- tho perhaps in GD G).
Seriously, a few close friends & my brother know the mild dirt.
You don’t fool us. You just never get around to asking them!
Ditto
…and ditto…
Did we grow up together?
I can’t imagine telling anyone that I’d had a sexual encounter or why (aside from bring a really immature teenager) anyone would talk about it.
(Actually, I did mention it once. My MIL called one Saturday morning, years ago, to announce that her son’s wife had just given birth to their first child. She then asked when *we[/] were going to give her a grandchild, to which I replied that she had interrupted us working on just that.)
Can’t agree with you here. I think it’s quite natural, for men, at any rate - probably for women too - to share some of their stories about old flames with their friends. I certainly have done so from time to time.
I even fixed your coding. There’s a role reversal!
I didn’t get the impression that the OP was talking about reminiscing about the old times so much as running out and yelling “I got laid, last night!”–the latter being (more) rare among adults in my experience.
