Cheap Chawklit in the MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of <snerk> 69! <snerk> and rain/tstorms/apocalypse later this mornin’ and through the afternoon. I plan to deheathenate this mornin’ dependin’ on how mom is doin’. Right now she is asleep and may very well do that throughout the day. Or not. Just a day by day thing.

I’m Gay! I’m Gray! I’m f-aaaaaa-bu-lous!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then purtification for deheathenization and/or whatever the day may bring must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

IRL whenever I say something like that I usually claim “Leviticus made me do it”. The devil gets too much credit for things.

And cuter than a bugs ear!

Post went poof! Blurf

Sunny pretty day even though it’s supossed to be raining. It rained most of yesterday and last night. I have walked the dog and started the dishwasher. Gotta get laundry rolling and clean house. I got rid of my maid a couple months back but I am getting tired of spending every Sunday cleaning so may have to either get her back or find a new one. My house is cleaner when I do it myself. First World problems.

No idea what the menu will be today as nothing is thawed. May just scrounge. Hubby is working all day today as usual.

Blurf I could go grocery shopping. Not gonna happen.

Happy Sunday!

It’s going to be a chilly day today, and a grumpy one.
The sun is shining though. My phone app predicts rain.

I woke up at 4 and got some stuff done, spoon fed the dog, and ran the dishwasher. The dog had a rough time earlier but he seems better now.

We’re going to the college today for his Ocean Studies test. Then he has the final next week and that class is DONE! Unless he really screws up the final he should have an A.
He has one small part of an assignment for World Religion and then that class is DONE, and even if he blows off that assignment, he still has an A.
He has his final for Biotechnology the coming week, and then he is DONE, and no idea what his grade will be because most of his tests/assignments have not been graded yet. Some of the assignments never got done because the professor never put them out there.
Then there is Cultural Anthropology, he has a major paper and has yet to pick a topic or do any research. I predict lots of moaning, groaning, and bitching. He won’t know until tomorrow what other work he has in that class. There will have to be a least one test because it is a college requirement that at least one test in each class has to be taken at the college.

Lunch/dinner will be something out. Probably Sonic for me and TacoHell for him.

Wow! 24 pounds is an awfully big cat! Red.

{{{Swampy}}}

Up, caffeinating and chilly.

I worked on carving a lino block to play with the press that I bought off CL last fall. It’s coming along well, but the next time, I’ll buy the lino and wood seperately, as it will greatly reduce the cost. When I finish this, I may get the watercolors out today. I have an idea for a painting that I want to try.

Happy Sunday!

My parents still win the biggest kitty contest, but it’s closer than I thought…

Today I has all-day blurf. I am unimpressed.

The Tale of the Mouse has a surprise epilogue. I finally got around to disassembling the kitchen stand and moving it so I can vacuum and shampoo the carpet underneath. Next to the kitchen stand is an upended trash can that holds the power strip up off the floor.* Underneath the upended trash can was a revelation.

It was a Mama Mouse. Her last (only?) baby was dead under the trash can.

ewewewewewewewewewewewewewewew

Baby Mouse got vacuumed up along with everything else and is now residing in the Great Trash Bag in the Sky. And by “sky” I mean the outside trash bin.

*After the Great Apartment Flood of 2016 I’m very nervous about power strips and the such sitting directly on the floor. Even my computer backup battery is sitting on a brick.

**FCD **just got off the phone with his mom - they had to put down their dog yesterday. Abby was a cairn terrier, about 14 years old, with multiple health issues. When they took her to the vet, he said there was nothing anyone could do for her. My FIL took it really badly - that on top of his Parkinson’s diagnosis apparently hit him hard. Dunno if my sweetie will go down to see them or not.

We went to see *Going in Style *- fun movie. Christopher Lloyd was a hoot! We also stopped at Lowe’s and I got some impatiens and coleus, but they won’t get planted till later this week. Finally, I built a couple of meatloaves for the freezer. So, several productive activities today.

Howdy Y’all! I deheathenated and then had sour cream pound cake and iced tea for N.O.L. I promise to have sump’n more nutritional later. 'Tis drizzly and dreary here so a good day to be inside. Mom has pretty much slept the whole day so far. We shall see what the rest of the day may bring.

MOOOOOOM so sorry about the in-laws doggy.

I made up for the lack of sleep earlier this week and slept until after 10am.

Nice to hear from other parts of the world Bowser! I’m a bit lax on reporting the weather myself.

Today appears to be grey, with wind, and a likelihood of rain. Yesterday was actually N.O.S.!

'Beamer is heading for swimming and I’ll get some shopping down while he is gone.

'Tis all at Sunshine Estates for the moment.

Back from the exam.
He got an A. Got to love the self-scoring tests.

It’s N.O.S. out there, so the WPTB are wrong again. In a bit he has to go out and do some trimming, the front yard needs it again already. If I was into making dandelion wine I’d love my front yard, but I’m not so I don’t.

Sonic for lunch, he got one of their new custard shakes. I guess he likes it, strawberry M&M. Sounds icky to me, but I’m not the one eating it.

My cat is sneaky. He caught me hiding the treats. He pretended to leave the room and as I was hiding them I caught him peeking around the corner. The brat. He’s not as dumb as he appears to be. Now he hides around the corner and peeks out to see what I am doing.

I have to confess; sheet pans are what we mean when we say cookie sheets, 'cause we’re all about the cookies around here. That cooking rack is just the thing though. I’ll have to see if they have one at Freddies next time I go.
I suspect the original recipe was for frying. We just wanted to switch it to oven baked to try to pretend it was healthier.
[url=Amazon.com : Mae Ploy Thai yellow curry paste]This](Amazon.com : Mae Ploy Thai yellow curry paste) is the thai yellow curry paste we use. We got a big tub of it at Cash & Carry (restaurant supply store) for about 5 bucks and we really like it.

Hang in there Swampy, we’re thinking good thoughts at you.

Mom, we want to see that movie too. I’m surprised that Chris Lloyd is in it and he didn’t get any billing. IMDB says there was another movie of the same name, pretty much the same plot, made in '79 with George Burns, Art Carney & Lee Strasberg. Didn’t see that one either. Gotta see if I can find it.

I did indeed make shrimp linguini w/ spinach last night. It was teh num! I don’t know why I haven’t made it in such a long time. Don’t know what tonight’s dinner will be. Wifey is back on weight watchers and some of my favorite recipes are right out, according to her. :smack:  Maybe I’ll make her think of something.

Good for Sah-son on the test.

Why on Earth do you hide treats? He doesn’t have thumbs!
:dubious:

To keep him busy!! Bored cats are too creative.

So he goes about the house searching for treats, like children hunting Easter eggs?
Our cat has a sister to beat up now and then.

Yes, a second cat would be the way to go. Shhhh! We’re trying not to scare Sari.

I have been lazy even though i had plans. Maybe the ambition will hit shortly. It was a rainy day afterall.

Indeed.

Howdy ‘all! Been mostly a lazy afternoon. Mom has slept most of the day so sis and I achieved nappage. We have supperated and so has mom. Got the joy of helpin’ her go potty. Sis gave her a bath and some meds. Now mom is asleep again. The goal is to keep her as comfortable as possible and so far so good.

Yay for sah-son and the A!

Yes, he is very treat motivated and it keeps him busy.
It’s either that or buy him some pet mice to play with.

There won’t be another cat, Sah-son would kill me. He still bitches about this one. He does play with the cat pretty much every day, but he won’t pet him or allow him in his room.
I don’t know how well Adam would take to another cat either. He gets jealous when I pet the dog and tries to keep the dog from getting too close to me. And he did flatten the other cat who tried to come over to me at the shelter.
No yard work today, it started to rain. I knew we should have gone out sooner.
