I like cheap chawklit. I got my annual pack of Reese’s eggs when I went to the store last week. Good thing, too, because I find myself today suddenly jobless. And relieved. I’ve been too scared to quit for years and now that problem’s been dealt with.
Butters, you are so right. Happy Wednesday everyone, I think the rain is coming, it’s been damp all day. I’ve been home chilling with the dog today, working tomorrow and Friday.

Report from school is that 'Beamer has a rough day, although this one wasn’t temper, it was crying. Poor kiddo.
Home, after a grocery stop. I have a big pot of sketty sauce simmering away. We’ll have some tomorrow, and the rest will be frozen for future meals. Supper tonight is grab whatever. I may make myself an egg-n-cheese sammich. Maybe. Dunno.
I remembered to start my sprinkler after opening this thread. 
And I set a timer so I won’t forget to turn it off.
**Butters **- good for you for laying down the law! One thing I really liked about my pre-retirement workplace - since it was a classified environment, phones were prohibited past the lobby. It was wonderful!! Where I work now, at least in our group, phones are used for music, always with earbuds, so I don’t have to listen to whatever stuff my coworkers are jammin’ to. I need silence!!!

butters, for better or worse, we still lubs ya! In my irkplace, only complany issued phones are permitted past security. That means mine is in the locker too.

Alien the brat has mice that are laced with catnip, but I think I’ll buy a few new ones. Or the refillable kind and get a jar of catnip too.
Today has been a bad day for him, I think he is going through withdrawal. He’s miffed at me now because he came over looking for attention and I picked him up. He didn’t want to be picked up, he wanted to sit on the floor and make me bend over to pet him.
The grocery store screwed up the apple pie again this week, we got something called an apple cream pie and YUK! I threw my piece out. Sah-son says he’ll eat it but he doesn’t like it either. It’s too sweet and too mushy.
It’s been a grumpy day today. I don’t know why I’m so grumpy but everybody is plucking my nerves.
I don’t blame you Butters, I’d be mad too.

Sunny, I’ve never upgraded. But since Delta upped it’s max compensation for bumping to almost $10k, I might take a bump on my trip to LA in August.
My pet bonehead does that too. Grrr!
I got nothing --------------- but a need in my soul to report the same. 
In keeping with this weeks theme, I picked up some cheep chawklit early this afternoon, including Carrot Cake Kisses - not bad. However, they din’t have any Belly Jeans, so I went to a different grocery sto’ tonight & scored some…& what will become breakfast - a deaf bunny. Well, he’ll be extremely hard of hearing after I eat his ears. :eek:
Speaking of Belly Jeans, I need to buy some new denim, because iffn I don’t wear a belt, I can put my jeans on & off without unbuttoning or unzipping them. All this comeback walking I’ve been doing has paid off in more than one way.

Sprinklers were turned on, then turned off, and the hose was coiled back up when I was done. naturally, it’s forecast to rain today.
Speaking of walking, I dreamed last night that I forgot where I parked my car, and I was walking and walking trying to find it. Never did, and I woke up exhausted from all that walking!!! And, no, I wasn’t sleepwalking - well, not in the traditional sense.
**FCD **now says he’ll go to the March on Saturday, but I know he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t want me to be alone. **MetalMouse **- wanna meet up so I don’t have a cranky spousal unit following me around? I truly don’t mind being by myself, and I’ve gone to DC alone many times in my life. I won’t carry a purse and I will have my phone - what’s the big deal??
Meanwhile, it’s my last work day this week - let’s see how much I can get done.

Up, sheveled, breakfasted, and trying not to pre-emptively freak out.
I’m taking a couple of days of “me time” before I start the resume rewriting process so I can give my brain a talking-to about how I don’t need to freak out like I’m already broke. I have a couple of months before I go broke. 
Plans for today include disassembling my kitchen area to clean up after a mouse (remind me to tell y’all that tale later–it’s a good one) and finishing up the scarf I promised Britcom. If I get it done today I can give it to him when I pick up my last check tomorrow.
Boss sent out a meeting invite. Topic: Basics of Emu Farming. Yeah, it’s just a normal group meeting, but he got my attention.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 60 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 86 and N.O.S. for the day. First thing this mornin’ was assistin’ mom with one of the more delicate issues of care givin’. What a way to start the day! Sis and I are makin’ poke tenderloin, green beans, squish casserole, corn bread, and ‘nanner puddin’ for dindin today. We want real food! Other than that no other plans except I may go check up on unc at some point.

Celebrated by waking up at 5am…hell of a way to complete your 64th orbit of the sun.
Packed and ready to go, awaiting taxi about an hour from now. Clear and sunny here, so hopefully a smooth flight in.
First real ‘getaway’ since last July, so I am looking forward to it.
FCM, Give me a time and a location and I’ll do my best to be there (will check board and Facebook this evening at the hotel). That is, if FCD trusts me around you…<grin> No idea how many people will be there.
