Which leads me to wander why you think that anyone who says anything other than “please come on my chest again Obama” is “defending the Republican viewpoint.”
That sentence says way more about you than anyone else.
Seriously now! That’s exactly the point! He’s an atheist Randfan with republican sympathies because he’s a living paradox! An iconoclast! A loose cannon! A…!
Dare I say it?
I dare not.
You gotta cite for where I think Obama’s some kind of super sexy fellow and that everyone should just embrace him? Heck, I’ll make it easy on you, try and find one post here where I was estatic in my comments about Obama. Go on, look.
Hey dumbass, this exchange with you started with you calling me a Republican sheep! Now you are asking for a cite when I call you an Obama kool-aid drinker? Well, where’s the cite for me being a Republican sheep? I’ve said many times on these boards that I only want McCain to win as the lesser of two evils.
I’d like to elevate the discourse beyond the name calling and ask you a serious question. How do you feel about the alliance between fiscal conservatives and social conservatives within the Republican party?
You talking to me?
I think many fiscal conservatives talk “social conservative” to keep the morons voting their way. Same as how many Dems talk “help the poor” to keep those morons voting their way. Others are true believers in both sides of both parties.
I wish there were a true libertarian party, but for some reason there don’t seem to be that many of us.
Yeah, I was asking you. I often find that fiscal conservatives don’t care for social conservatives; that it’s an alliance of convenience. I think that social liberals do the same with fiscal liberals, as well.
I, for one would welcome a sea change of alliances where the social conservatives/fiscal liberals and the fiscal conservatives/social liberals would align. I think the latter would be the larger and possibly more sensible alliance. However, I also have the sneaking suspicion that TPTB would rather see us divided along the current lines, as it muddies the real issues that, once clearly defined and understood by the general populace, would aid in the usurping of the status quo.
But I’m crazy like that…
Cool. This is another topic I’ve been meaning to start a GD thread on (i.e., any realistic prospects for a viable libertarian party in the near future).
If this post is any indication, your lack of mass appeal might have something to do with your being self-absorbed elitists who apparently despise the lower classes of whatever ideological stripe.
I don’t think a libertarian party will be viable until a more realistic view of the role of government is espoused. I get too much of a teenager-wishing-his parents-would go-away-for-the-weekend-so-he-can-have-a-keg-party vibe from them.
But this thread is about Cindy McCain, whom I don’t think should be encouraged to speak in public.
Small, select groups tend to have narrow parameters, require much loyalty, and discourage critical thinking.
Needs more cowbell.
No, of course not, you’re a rugged individualist, just like all the rest of 'em.
I’m not!
If she broke her hand just shaking hands ,I imagine having sex would be dangerous. McCain would be distracted by the crack of breaking bones. It must require focus to get past that.
He can still hear? He seems deaf to reality.
Or basically, anyone who disagrees with him in the slightest. (Much like his hero, The Ayn).
Do you think he drives a Jeep Wrangler?
I drove a Jeep Wrangler when I was all Objectivisty. Cause or effect? You be the judge!
Hey I drove a motorcycle when I was all Objectivy. Damn, I was obviously a failure at the Ayngsty thing even then and I didn’t even know it. Then again, I drove a BMW as a liberal. Now I drive a Chevy truck as a bleeding heart liberal. I think I’m doing something wrong here but I just can’t put my finger on it.
