Well, your post was largely about fiscal responsibility, which is the standard reply to fiscal conservative arguments around here. However, I don’t think it’s much of a reply for seceral reasons, the biggest of which is that it views government borrowing as a per se bad thing. I’ve been meaning to do a gd thread on this but haven’t had time yet.
Glad we have you to elevate the level of discourse around here.
Fiscal conservative, fiscal responsibility, play word games and try to deflect and obfuscte all day if you want to. You throw out some tripe like that because you can’t refute the facts that I presented, that Bill Clinton was the only fiscal conservative we’ve had in the white house in 30 years. If I hadn’t called you on it, you’d still be ignoring my post because it doesn’t fit in with your “reality” that you “create”, all in your own little mind!
Keep arguing your point after it’s been proven incorrect. Willful ignorance is stupidity, and a stubborn effort to ignore facts shows that you’re more concerned with being ‘right’ than seeing reality.
And you just keep walking into it, which doesn’t help your case any.
Deficit spending can be a valuable tool, applied carefully. The problem is that it’s become the default way of constructing budgets, and as a result we have a $10 trillion national debt.
Don’t forget the ‘off budget’ wars. You forgot the ‘off budget’ wars.
Elevating a conversation with you in it is like trying to elevate a vast pool of diarrhea using only a straw–distasteful and futile.
I don’t hope anything for you. I am amazed that you are thick enough to think any politician would not think they know what is best for us. Those fiscally responsible Reps have never been so–Reagan gave up on small government. It’s not that they’re against big Gment, it’s how they want the money collected and spent: that is the true difference between Reps and Dems.
I’m so glad I bug you. I live for no other purpose.
I never said you bug me. And I also clarified later what I meant about politicians thinking they know what’s best.
Your post above and the one I responded to earlier show why having an argument on the dope is nearly futile–no one reads a post closely enough to understand it or misconstrues and twists everything all to hell so that the original point and context in which it was made are irretrievably lost. Maybe I’ll go 'luci on your asses and just do drive-by snark.
Shodan is about the best you can aspire to, you ain’t got the chops to “go 'luci” kid.
I don’t agree with Rand Rover, but he is worth a million Shodans.
All righty, then. Allow me to clarify: I’m so glad my style of post bugs you. I’ll continue to do my small part. It must be hard to be you–deigning to mix with the unenlightened and ignorant and not being appreciated as you feel you should. I feel ya, babe.
At least Shodan has a sense of humor.
If you’re honestly more concerned about your taxes than someone wiretapping you without a warrant, that’s messed up.
Did I just hear a moo?
[first try guys, come on]
No, but I just heard a “Baaaa!” coming from your general direction.
The candidate is old McCain, not old MacDonald!
Right, I’m the sheep. I’m just an atheist randfan following the herd of all the other atheist randfans . . .
Not quite ready for prime time. A bit low-class, to say nothing of the fact that it smacks of cheap shottery.
Try something that works in tie-dyed jeans, or hand-dipped candles.
If you have only one sheep, it’s still a sheep. Of course, your shepherd would push you in front of the wolf if it benefited her. Fortunately for you, it doesn’t since being dead and all she’s not in much danger from wolves.
Which leads one to wonder why you so vigorously defend the Republican viewpoint around here.
