Well if I don’t get my garden sifter delivered tomorrow I know what slacker to blame…
Um, yeah. About that. I’m on the West Coast, see. It wasn’t me, is what I’m saying. It was those other guys.
Present!
      You’re one of them Trump-lovin’ Nazis???
Sorry, poor impulse control here.
Daughter and SIL didn’t get home till after 9, so Ziva felt safe enough to venture out. **FCD **managed to get our bedroom door closed and she spent the night out from under the bed. When I came out this morning, she tried to sneak back in, but I was ready. Wonder how long we can keep her out so she gets used to living with other critters and people. Cats is weird.
I’m having a PB sammich and caffeinating. Once the kids get up, we’ll all get ready to head north - all except FCD, of course.
He spent much of yesterday designing the part to fix the gunner’s seat adjustment. Now he just needs to program his mill to make it. So he’s passing on the family gathering since he has to deliver the part on Tuesday. They want to install it and test it in flight on Weds.
I do think it’s cool that the Navy customer specifically requested him for the task. My sweetie’s that good!
Anyway, Happy Sunday!!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out and drizzly with a predicted high of 82 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for this afternoon. Today’s big plan is deheathenization (I am a non-cannibal kind of Lector), and to come back to da cave to grill the burgers we didn’t grill yestiddy so’s we can N.O.L. upon burgers and N.O.T. sallit. We (or at least I) shall return to the church house this evenin’ for Solemn Choral Evensong which I always enjoy. I’m told this will be a large and in charge service. Cheese thangs and other goodies will be consumed at the reception to follow.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheatnenization must commence.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Everybody’s up. Roxy has been bathed, and she’ll be fed after her mommy showers. Then we’ll pack up and head north. **FCD **is in his shop, working away. I wish he’d learn how to relax…
I still don’t know for sure what happened on Friday in front of my house, but there’s a listing of police calls I found on the newspaper website.
On Friday there’s a listing for aggravated assault and criminal threat from an address about five blocks away, and to the east, from my house. The sirens did seem to come from south and east, now that I think of it. The two guys taken down I saw looked like young punks, and I could hear a few words from one of them on how WE didn’t start IT. Bet that’s the one.
Now I need to get ready for church.
Cupcakes, nice detective work, Sherlock would be proud. I’m sure you’re correct.
FCGM, have fun with family. And I wouldn’t worry about FCD; some folks are just like that, can’t let go of a job once they have started on it (I cured it by never starting any jobs…<grin>)
swampy, will you Lector at the Lectern?
doggio, I agree, interesting neighborhoods you’ve lived in…of course, you living there made it interesting.
Red, sounds like you had nice day. Good.
Working my way through the Sunday Sudoku puzzles and the rest of the paper. The promised rain never showed up yesterday, but they are predicting storms Real Soon Now (clear and 74F right now). We shall see. Need to make a grocery store run for some essentials and decide where to eat dinner at, but otherwise a lazy Sunday is on tap.
:cancels that anvil order:
Mooooom, bite your tongue!
Breakfasted, load of towels in the wash and the puppy crate cleaned. I’m going to set the tiki torches up today. Living ~1.5 miles from the lake with some swamp in between, there are tons of mosquitos out there any time it’s cool enough to sit on the patio. I’m hoping that the citronella will keep some of them out of the immediate vicinity.
Today’s plans are the usual Sunday chores, exchanging the CO2 cartridge for my SodaStream ™, setting up the tiki torches and chilling.
Happy Sinday!
Beautiful day again today.
My internet keeps going out and I am tired of typing a post, so this is it!
“I” and “O” are right next to each other on the keyboard. :dubious:
Also “U”.
I have nearly completed my multi-week quest to get my music files restored to my iTunes library. I’ll post the full story in the thread I started a while ago. It has been long and painful, but I am almost done. Hopefully by the end of today.
Mother in law is here. We got her room all set up yesterday, and got her settled in. Now we will work on getting her strength up. She always comes to us barely able to walk. Of course, when you get dumped at a hotel and left there, it’s not surprising. We get her walking around pretty quickly and doing things with us.
Now I need to go make sure everyone eats. Silly people.
When we were driving up to the museum Friday we were stopped twice by emergency vehicles with sirens and lights crossing our path. We found out t=last night that they were responding to an incident at Portland State University where some *^^^%% drove a car up onto the sidewalk and ran down 3 women. They arrested the guy that owned the car later that day. Now if they can just prove he was driving it at the time.
I do hope somebody is studying these people who do these things to try to figure out why they really do them. I am sick and tired of ‘pundits’ pushing their own agendas as ‘solutions’ to the ‘problem’.
“The problem is easy access to cars in our society! Why, I’ve heard that you can walk onto a car lot and drive home with a car the very same day!”
Sunny, making sure everybody eats has never been a problem for my family. We didn’t get this size by accident!
Happy Sunday everyone!
I do have two orders en route, but they’re both small, light items.
Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated. I lectored. MetalMouse the scripture lessons are indeed read from a Lectern. The sermon is preached from the pulpit. One must do these things correctly after all. Except EYP rarely uses the pulpit to preach. Some Priests are like that. I am just grateful he is not one of those Priests who like to roam up and down the aisle whilst preachin’. That makes me N.O.N.!
Silly red! Everybody knows one orders anvils from Acme Corporation..
OK, need to get a move on here. Must done appropriate clothin’ and head over to the church house for EvenSong soonish.
Swampy what is N.O.N.? Not our ?
Food has been consumed. I am killing time on the Interwebs, to be followed by TV or possibly by napping. Decisions, decisions. I need to trim dog claws. Sigh.
swampy, Acme didn’t offer free shipping.
This afternoon, I got in the car (along with Nelson) and went to Stone’s River National Cemetery to put poppies on two GGGG uncles’ graves. I knew that my great grandmother’s two great uncles had been killed during the battle, but until a few years ago, I didn’t know where they had been buried. Turns out, it’s ten minutes from my current home. A few years back, I looked them up in the directory and have visited several times since.
The rain began on the way home and some of the thunder and lightening scared poor Nelson. It took some close cuddling to get him to calm down. I had mojo pork in the crock and cilantro lime slaw in the fridge, so I fixed a pot of rice and some Cuban black beans to go with for Cuban bowls. Tis yum! Now for KP.
Home. Exhausted. Not sure if I’m hungry or not.
Lots of photos were taken today - some are in my FB feed. If I’m tagged on someone else’s feed, can my friends see the pics, or do I need to share on my feed? Anyone know? Some of you are friends with my sister, so you’ve see them already, theoretically…
Drove home thru several major toad-soakers - wipers on high, speed way below the limit. I’m so glad I can park in a garage and don’t have to slog thru the wet when I get home.
