Commercials you don't hate

Geico has a new ad continuing along the lines of “We have a clogging problem” and “We have a Ratt problem.”

“We have aunts.”

Oldie, but the ending of this makes me laugh my ass off every time.

Insurance companies are just crushing it now.

I kind of like the Geico add with Idina Menzel:

Brian

I googled “funny car insurance commercials” - laughing my ass off!

her facial expressions really sell it.

it took me a while to figure out why the father took out the hearing aids at the end of the commercial. then i noticed the door closing in the backround.

huh, after the look the daughter gave the boyfriend i reckoned on him not being able to use the “condors” he brought.

there are many layers to this commercial, none of them having to do with hearing aids.

I like the interplay between Flo and Jamie in the Progressive commercials.

I like the most recent one - “One more game of backgammon?” “Not on your life!”

I like this new Mastercard commercial.

Oh my goodness. Thanks for sharing that!

I love watching a Rube Goldberg machine in action.

Everybody wants a place to be,
Lobsters live at the bottom of the sea
while I’m at the bottom of the air.

This Progressive commercial, where Dr. Rick is trying to help people not turn into their parents. I always stop what I’m doing to watch this one! “We all see it…we all see it…”

And the other guy is gagging while saying “blue” - hilarious!

I like this one too. Also the Iams pet food commercial with the various cuteness of our pets!

I love the Dr. Rick commercials. Seriously, Un-Becoming Your Parents should be a real book—the world needs it.

“Who else reads books about submarines?”
“My dad?”
“Yeah.”

I’d like to know what’s wrong with reading books about submarines. The Hunt for Red October is a great novel!

That’s funny, because the first time I saw that commercial, I thought, “Uh oh—no more Tom Clancy for me.”

However, upon closer inspection, I think the “submarine book” the guy is reading is a WWII history book, which is closer to what my generation would consider a “dad book.”

My dad’s a WW2 vet. His favorite book? Hunt For Red October.

So for me, it’s clearly a Dad Book…

This commercial for Uber Eats with Mark Hamill and Sir Patrick Stewart.

This one for Mint Mobile with Rick Moranis, an actor we’ve gone far too long without seeing.
