Although I haven’t seen it on television (it turned up during a game on my iPad), I actually enjoyed this commercial for the Purple mattress, featuring comedian Mallory Everton as Goldilocks.
It’s unlikely that I’d ever buy one of those mattresses, but the commercial is intriguing and Everton’s gags are amusing.
This chick is the reason why I like this commercial for “Stratosphere Hotel: Take Vegas Back”.
Also I like the Mazda commercial featuring “Back In My Baby’s Arm” by Patsy Cline. The video is not available though. I’ll post more commercials I remember.
I came in to mention that same ad. It gets that old animation vibe and music just right, tells a story, and sells the product without hitting you over the head with it. It’s got style.
My current favorite is from Priceline with David Robinson and Latrell Spreewell. For those of you that don’t know the characters, David Robinson was the model all-American athlete, went to the Naval Academy and fulfilled his Navy obligation before turning professional. Spreewell was the poster child for being a bad boy. Although an NBA all-star, he is primarily known for having choked his coach and turning down a $21 million contract because “he had mouths to feed”. He hasn’t played since.
The first few times I heard this commercial I was so engrossed in it I didn't realize what or who was doing the advertising.
A very well produced commercial, and even the actors have honest, legitimate expressions on their faces.
The taxi driver's face is priceless!
There was an old car dealership ad from PNW area that started with a close-up of a golf putt, and as the camera backs up we see some old fartload going, “Expecting Jack Nicklaus? No - it’s me, Dave Buck.”
