Commercials you don't hate

I like that one, too, the secondhand cringe has me clenching my toes. The casting on the dad is great, first the scowl of disapproval at the pisspoor present passing but then his smile at the punchline that just about breaks his face.

Took me a couple viewings of that commercial to realize it’s part of a series. At first I thought “hey, that’s the same girl from the Amazon commercial where she walks in on her dad running on the treadmill in her room, wearing those 70s style short shorts”. Then I realized, “oh, this is an Amazon commercial too, and that’s supposed to be the same family!”. The dad looks very different and much more dignified in regular dad clothes.

I’m not crying. It’s just allergies

Gosh, this one is so good. But, how is the lady so tall in the costume?

Old ('86) but still amusing.

That’s a real song at the end.

I don’t have allergies. There must be a lot of dust in here.

This Xfinity ad makes me chuckle.

I realize now that the Nurse is wearing a simple costume with a cardboard box head.

The child’s imagination transforms it into a 8 ft tall robot.

nvm

It tells quite a story: In the distant future, after the human race is wiped out due to some cataclysm or pandemic, the family Leporidae evolved to fill the dominant evolutionary niche; much in the way our distant ancestors, mere squirrel-like creatures during the reign of the dinosaur, evolved into humans after the dinosaurs died out.

The evolved Leporidae Sapiens race adopted the technological, cultural, and commercial institutions of the extinct Homo Sapiens race. However, they had not yet evolved away from the breeding practices of their own ancient evolutionary past, when they were a prey species who bred prolifically out of necessity, to guard against predation. They also have clearly not yet developed any form of birth control or family planning whatsoever, either due to a lack of medical technology or religio-cultural taboos against it. This continued overbreeding in the light of vastly reduced infant mortality rates is causing economic hardship within the Leporidae Sapiens community that is clearly not sustainable in the long term, even with favorable cell service rates.

There’s a Farmer’s Dog commercial that I like because it has the song With a Girl Like You by The Troggs in it.

There are a couple bits in the Jake From State farm football series. I chuckle at Henry VIII getting planted into the turf: “You OK?” “No, I am not.” The crossing “guard” from THE Franklin Elementary. And the sea captain looking into the swamp cooler fan “Arrgh Squalls are coming!”

Yeah, theres a drug ad I like just because it has Dancing in the Moonlight. But still the ad itself is drek.

I generally like Jake from State Farm, but Henry was apparently quite the athlete in his youth so this one rubs me the wrong way, at least a little bit.

Maybe in his youth, but the Henry VIII who got body-slammed in that commercial was the older overweight, drunken, gout-ridden, possibly syphilitic version.

I believe it’s another Progressive commercial. “It is rabbit. Name Foot.” Couple seconds and a couple of seconds later someone says, “It’s a rabbit!” and the guy answers “Name Foot.” I do not know why I always chuckle when he says that.

The commercials for Wise money transfer service are pretty funny. Here are a few:

Oops - I accidentally included the Just Married commercial twice. Here’s another one:

They have an absolutely horrible customer service reputation, and then have bots doing fake positive reviews. They even have a couple of YouTubers doing fake glowing “reviews” .

I wasn’t endorsing their service. I just think their commercials are amusing.
