Commercials you don't hate

Yeah, my wife loves this one also. Well done Farmers!

It’s the (paraphrasing) “Yo! T!”/“Lemonade, man! Read the sign!” that really brings the funny.

Quilted Northern t.p. have two winsome ones: 1) a Frog t.p. holder in a bathroom is speaking in an undertone" “I can’t close my eyes. I can’t look away” and 2) beautiful bird wallpaper, and the narrator talks about the birds “except for this one. He has an outlet for a face.” (because it’s right. over. the bird’s head)

I love the use of Tom Rosenthal’s “The Meaningless of Numbers” in the Ashley Madison ad “Poly”.

The bird one cracks me up.

The Eco warrior commercial (for Kia) is hilarious. I would never switch channels while it’s on.

I need a hero. Indeed.

(ducks for cover)

The St. Jude commercial with Chesley Sullenberger. It isn’t sappy the way other similar commercials are, and I also know that he’s endorsing a legitimate organization. I support them myself; before I knew them, my Girl Scout leaders had a child with cancer, and they took her to St. Jude’s. Even though she couldn’t beat it :frowning: , they did have 6 extra years with her, and she enjoyed a normal life for most of that time.

My favorite is the Subaru first-day-at-school ad:

The GEICO bumper sticker commercial. Watch closely at the end, you can see the skunk releasing his gas.

I’m currently fascinated with the Haribo commercial for gummi bears, with a bunch of corporate suits sitting around a conference table talking in little-kid voices about eating gummi bears. The commercial is nothing special and most would find it annoying, but I just can’t stop looking at these people’s TEETH. There are white people, black people, Asian people, men and women and one I can’t tell, and every one of them has the most incredible set of choppers I’ve ever seen. These people do not eat candy.

I saw this one today and 3 out of 3 people in my household laughed.

An ostrich can dream.

This one kills me every time.

Southwest - Male Catch of the Party Who Makes a Big Mistake

The way he closes his eyes at the end… it’s perfect.

Most of the “Wanna getaway?” commercials have been pretty good.

One that I just hear for the first time yesterday is for Lipton Ice Tea. The commercial itself is pretty standard fare but the kicker is the background music of Nathaniel Rateliff’s SOB. A song about an alcoholic going through DT’s and begging for a drink.

Yep, we liked it too.

Another one I don’t mind: The guy crossing the street when a car stops very suddenly at the intersection to avoid hitting him. The guy flings up his arms and goes to have a word with the driver. Two old geezers off to the side, anticipating a fight: “This is going to be good!” The pedestrian is jabbing his finger at the driver and acting very aggressive, but actually conversing with the driver about what a swell car it is.

One that cropped up in the other thread as “bad”, I think is great: the VW love bug commercial, with Dean Martin singing “The Birds and the Bees”.

The new Dr Pepper commercials are rather amusing.

Memo to DirecTV: that is how you have an advertising campaign featuring an asshole. Make the asshole(s) likeable!

This one from State Farm makes me chuckle every time. Is it suede?

I saw this terrific commercial last night.

“That’s not ivory!” :stuck_out_tongue:
