It was a fantastic episode. They have been building up to a really solid series.
Now, technically, NBC hasn’t “cancelled” it (zap2it has gotten flack in the comments for saying it is), but the writing is on the wall. I guess it could be sold to something like… I dunno, CW? I’d love to see it survive, because I think it could be quite amazing.
Claire van der Boom, who plays Novitiate Annie, is 31 or 32, though she looks younger. Matt Ryan is 33, but it’s been a hard 33. Annie said that she wished she had known better than to get mixed up with John 20 years ago, but that may be a rounding error. Or not; kids that age love the Woo.
So why was that guy in the mirror at the end? The mirror in Constantine’s house? I remember him from a previous episode. C sacrificed him. But why is he in the mirror?
What’s with Chaz & Zed? Off the show? Just taking a break? His sidekicks don’t stick around very consistently.
Didn’t go out with a bang either. The previous episode was fine, but this last one was a bit weird, like it was another episode shown out of order? Zed seemed kind of stoned. Was there a reason for that? The angel guy seemed to imply they were making progress in the war, but it wasn’t clear to me that Constantine had actually done anything directly related to the war.
