I have a pretty high snark-tolerance, especially if it isn’t directed at me, but the growing trend I’ve seen of you spewing snark for no apparently good reason, particularly in GQ, leads me to start this thread. So, for those who want them, I offer my examples:
There are more examples, but that’s just recent stuff out of GQ. Anywhere else, for the most part, I can just blow snark off but in GQ it really makes me crazy. If you think a question is stupid, inane, useless, whatever, why even answer it? If you don’t know who Ned Kelly is, then the question wasn’t directed at you. We’ve got a huge influx of new members lately, and I’d hate to think that they’re getting the impression that asking an unusual - yet perfectly valid - question is going to open the door to snark and ridicule.
Of course, I suspect the vitriol is due to the feelings you expressed in a recent pit thread:
but honestly, if you think they’re so stupid, why not ignore them? Clearly your attempts at fighting ignorance with acid isn’t working.
Nope. This is honestly the first time I can recall seeing the name. Maybe he’ll come in here. If you like, I’ll be happy to engage him in a condescension contest. I’ve been told I have the power.
All I’m saying is that after reading years of posts from Lib, spingears better bring a lot more to the table than the abilities shown in the OP’s quotes.
I’m not saying that he does it constantly, but Lib could be on the Olympic Condescension Team when the mood strikes him.
I just realized that I was facilitating a hijack in Lib’s direction. Sorry about that it wasn’t my intent. I was only poking a little fun at Lib.
Back to the OP…
spingears sounds like an incredible ass. I’m glad I’ve never heard of the guy before. And now I know when I see the name that the rest of the post is meaningless and can be disregarded.
I think it is spingears, or am I just thye victim of some inside joke? the offending poster’s name is spingears, though, and he was reprimanded by a mod in the Ned Kelly thread referrenced by the OP.

funny coming from the guy who didn’t know who Ned Kelly was, so he asks the OP :smack:
