I SLEPT IN!!! Didn’t drag out of bed till after 6 - HUZZAH!!
It was raining when I fell asleep and it’s raining this morning. Theoretically, it’ll stop soon, but the radar still looks nasty and we’re not supposed to get out of the 50s, so another indoor day. I see laundry being laundered. I’ve already emptied and refilled the dishwasher. I need to vacuum up the assorted cat leavin’s on the carpet - Ziva has been in full shed mode. I may even scrub the terlets. Good times!
swampy, is your friend retiring from playing church organ too or just from regular irk?
I slept in and am having brunch now. I attempted to set my paper rack up last night and found that I needed to re-engineer it iffen I want it to acrually be stable. So that means a trip to Lowe’s is in store today along with a trip into the city to the international market for some ground sumac and the Syrian bakery for good pita (making Lebanese chicken tonight). I’ll likely swing through Goodwill to see what they have on their CD rack. Since my music channels are blocked at irk, I’ve been carrying CDs in to listen to and I can put some fresh (to me) ones in the rotation at a low price.
red she retired as a public skool music teacher a few years back. Her husband decided to retire (finally, she says) and they want to do some travelin’ etc so she decided to retire as organist to do so. Smart move I say.
The rain has turned into a non-issue. A couple of sprinkles and that’s it. TWPTB messed up big time on this.
I think I like Sari’s terlet paper tree the best. Blurf i slept in and walked the dog and that so far is the extent of my productivity. Speaking of terlets the one in my little bathroom has sprung a leak at the turnoff valve so hubby is getting the part to fix it. No new terlet for me.
I have had a headache for the past two morns even though I am 8 days sober. I must say this quitting smoking really messes with ones brain chemistry. I think i am over the worst craving wise though. Now its just the psychological effects which is very discombobulating.
I have plenty to keep me busy in any case as the house needs to be cleaned and the ever present laundry is piled up and i need to figure out some real food. We have been having sandwiches and bowls of cereal all week except once. I need vegetables.
'Beamette has her work in an Art Show today. We will be heading over to view that in a while. Other than that, there shall be laundry. Tonight we shall be driving many miles to Outback for 'Beamer’s delayed birthday dinner. 'Tis his favorite restaurant.
It’s 48. Rain today, with a predicted high of 56. I love Orygun.
We shall eat the last of our smoked ribs for supper tonight. Guess I need to watch for another rib sale so’s I can smoke some more. Laundry is done. I think it’s time to assume the position and crochet for a while. Still overcast and dreary, but it’s looking a bit brighter, so maybe we’ll see some sun today? Maybe??
Very nice celebration for my retired organist friend this afternoon. Good munchies and I had some adulterated punch. Also, I remedied what would have been a dire situation at da cave. I stopped and bought ice cream. I was almost out of ice cream!
We have ice cream. Am i the only one that feels as though I am living in an alternate universe re our Federal Government? Why yes, I have been watching the news all day. I pretty much miss this stuff during the week. Unbelievable.
We has maybe 5 minutes where the sun peeked out, but it’s overcast and dreary again. Rain has stopped and the pavement is drying, so there’s that. We’ll have to try to mow tomorrow. Meanwhile, I’ve finished one scarf and I’ve started another. Slowly but surely, I’m using up the yarn.
The ribs were good, but very fatty. I may have some strawberries later. Strawberry ice cream would be better tho…
TVs have been properly recycled, VA stuff is over, lawn is mowed and all we did for dinner was sandwiches so we can kick back and relax. Yet another nice day in the life.
I went to the little bar down the road and had a burger and beer for dindin. Hardly anyone was in there so it was nice. Now I’m home and all comfy. Life is good. Plus there’s ice cream.
My ice cream supply is consistant. I buy a box of no sugar added ice cream bars every other week that has to last two weeks. Otherwise, I’d live on the stuff.
It was beautiful here today. I got out and played in the dirt for a while, went to the city for stuff for the Lebanese chicken tomorrow, stopped at Lowe’s but didn’t find everything I needed for the rack project, found a nice pair of blue capris at GW and swung through Fat Mo’s for a Mo burger. https://locu.com/places/fat-mos-burgers-smyrna-us/#menu Half it will be lunch tomorrow. Before I left for things that needed a car trunk to get, I did get out on the bike for about 45 minutes.
