FLTLN-- on a horse racing specialty plate
So my first assumption is Flat Line and assume the owner does something medical, but I won’t rule out the possibility that it’s related to racing or betting.

Might be Flightline (horse) - Wikipedia that was a fairly recent noteworthy champion racehorse. There have been successful racehorses named “Flatline” or variations, but none recently.
Saw NOIC3 on a Tesla on my way home. Not sure if they meant “no ICE” or “noice!”
Was it a Tesla Model 3?
Probably not “noicy” as in a Jersey style pronunciation of “noisy”. At least not from a Tesla.
Yesterday, I was behind a car leaving Birch Bay, WA with 4FSSAKE.
Don’t know… it was blue… that’s all I remember ![]()
Today I saw ZACHER in the parking garage. That’s the name of a real estate company in town so I’m assuming that was a company car.
Then I was behind 8 OUNCES on a Mini-Cooper on the way home. Indiana license plates being what they are I wasn’t sure if it was “8 OUNCES” or “B DUNCES” at first.
TAGTEAM on a big Dodge SUV. Certainly roomy enough for a team…
YAKYAK on a small SUV.
JILL
TYSON
FANG10.
FEYRE
And best of all, on a Chevy in an eyes eating shade of yellow-green. IOPNR
Seen parked near the local (live) theater complex: I
BWAY.
And on a Mercedes CLA 350: 1111G99. No idea.
Today on a long ride I saw:
GLDFNCH – A bird lover?
LUV SOX – on a Red Sox custom plate, no less
JREMIAH – no bullfrogs in sight
CHANGEZ – I guess “Changes” was taken.
My last 4-5 days:
IBD on a FL standard plate on a generic car. Might be International Baccaluareate Degree. But probably not. “I be Dee” as in a woman’s name? “I be D.” as in someone’s first initial? My favorite interpretation is it means “Stay back! I have Irritable Bowel Disease and you might get sprayed at any time!”. ![]()
U⎵4⎵L on a FL 5-character University of Miami booster plate on a generic crossover. “University for ??” Law, learning, losers, Larry? A mystery.
EETI⎵⎵1 on a FL 7-character wildlife panther booster plate on a crossover. ???
4AMEN on a FL 5-character booster plate. This was the older design with the “In god we trust” motif that was more religious & less patriotic glurge than the currrent version. The car was a ragged older RAV-4 festooned with religious stickers, pictures of crosses, etc. It had a fake EU-style front plate that said 4EVR⎵AMEN. Whatever that driver has, they have it bad.
BASARAN a FL standard plate on a new large Lexus SUV. A last name?
TSMBN on a FL standard plate on a newish Porsche 911 series. No clue.
OS4LIFE on a FL standard plate on an Audi crossover. Still no clue.
AUTO⎵ART on a FL standard plate on a completely box stock late model Toyota 4-Runner. Not much sign of art there on that automobile.
In all a baffling collection. Color me disappointed in their work and/or my sleuthing.
A couple I spotted yesterday on my walk:
CLNBNYX on a Toyota Tundra. Pretty cryptic, but given that it was parked on the curb in front of a neighbor’s house, and their car was being cleaned at the time, maybe the driver owns a mobile car detailing business, and it means “clean beyond your expectations”. If so, that’s a lot to pack into seven characters. There was no advertising on the truck to support that theory, though.
RMYINF on a Ram pickup. “Ramy something”? Yeah, I have no clue.
DEUT 316 on a small black sporty looking something or other. I’m assuming it means Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you”
On a Honda CR-V: OIMSRRY. Apology accepted, though I don’t know what for.
Some people are overly courteous, fearful at every turn that they’ve given offense. Either that or they drive like a selfish jerk and are hoping to fend off road ragers with a preemptive apology? ![]()
EYE DOC
A black Tesla sedan with: O UFO. Would have been better if exclamation points were available characters.
A Honda Accord with: IRNSCPE. Iron scope? Iron scape? I Run SC PE? (Phys Ed teacher for the Trojans?) Ernie’s coupe? Dunno.
A Corvette that went by me in a big hurry: HWY ROCK, I think, not sure.
TERWAY on a California Museums booster plate (which features an illustration of Snoopy for some reason). I have no idea what that means. It was on a VW Golf wagon if that has anything to do with it.
On a Hyundai Sonata: WIFE22. I hope that’s not the running total.
