Spotted in Apr 2018, the picture isn’t great because the car was ahead of me and I couldn’t close the distance. I wanted to see what kind of people would put that on their car. Might as well put NAZI LVR or MASTR R8C or LUV ADOLF, right?
Googling “areyan” tells me it’s a name (first or last).
Though maybe ancestry shouldn’t say “What did your Areyan ancestors do for a living?”

I think that’s different. Ancestry.ca has an entry for Areyan as a last name. It appears to be Kurdish or Armenian in origin.

Sure, there are other meanings of the word but it’s still an insensitive word to put on one’s car.

One of the elderly gents at my condo was named Adolph. Given the timing and place of his birth I have little doubt that The Other Adolph was his namesake.
He was truly a delightful guy. But, wisely, he did not have a personalized plate.
2010 SFG
The 2010 San Francisco Giants, the first year they won the World Series after moving from New York in 1958.
This one is mine. After game 2 in that series the Giants had taken a 2-0 series lead. With the pitching staff they had there was no way they were going to lose 4 of the next 5 games, so I ordered this plate to put on my wife’s car. I already had a special plate on my car.
I was hoping to not jinx the baseball gods, especially after the painful 2002 World Series. This championship was inevitable. The Giants won the series, 4 games to 1.
Just a couple of days ago, I saw a car with NYGNTS1.
Yesterday I saw a car in KC with the Missouri plate of URAWSUM.
I agreed with the message and accepted the compliment.

But it’s not the same word. It’s a different number of letters, the additional letter is nowhere in “aryan”, and when I see it I see three syllables, though I don’t know how it’s pronounced.
I mean, I can see how you get there. But I wouldn’t have gotten there just from seeing the plate.
