Good one!! One wonders if they’re kinky or just clever?
Today I saw 1-2NJOY. On a ratty family wagon in the parking lot of a working class groc store. A plump 50-something woman in a t-shirt & crocs was loading her haul of soda, chips, and frozen food.
The optimism is strong in that one. You go girl! My hat is off to your attitude!
Today I saw RVR SONG and the plate frame was “Spoilers!” on top and “Hello, Sweetie.” on the bottom.
I wonder if they have another car with MLDY PND?
Indy Ski Pass has a promotion if you get an Indy Pass themed vanity plate you get a free pass. Based on the timing of the offer, those license plates are begining to show up on the roads. So, keep your eyes out for license plates like SKINDY, INDPASS, RYDINDY, INDYLYF, etc. All cars should have an Indy Pass sticker near the license plate to help identify them.
It’d be neat if anything on their website explained what “Indy Ski Pass” was.
My daily contribution: a Tesla w ALVRO. Probably somebody named “Alvaro”.
You get two days at each of the 200+ ski areas on the pass, ranging from small little mom & pop operations to some substantial sized resorts. It’s mostly in the US but also a bunch in Canada, Europe, and Japan. We ski mostly in New England, easily hitting a dozen different hills each season. But we’ve also skied at resorts in Utah and Oregon and may hit Colorado this year.
On a recent generation Mustang GT in the UK - BO55 BHP.
The Ski Indy thing seems like quite the deal. You pay a few bucks for a personalized plate. They get year round advertising and you get a $450 ski pass with a ton of perks. It’s almost worth getting the plate just so you can get a day pass at a local ski place.
I’m surprised they’re giving away a full season pass (plus), even a simple “send us a picture of your plate and we’ll send you [some limited number of] ski passes to the Indy Ski resort of your choosing” would probably get plenty of people to do it.
It’s a great deal, we got ones for both of our cars.
This morning, I saw a car with QUE TAL.
“¿Qué tal?” is Spanish for “How’s it going?”
Probably just being friendly. Although, since my state only requires a rear plate, he might be boasting that he is ahead of you.
In the vein of ¿Qué tal? I say W3LCM2U (Welcome to you). I saw that while out on a DRI␣EV. The first is what we thought it likely meant, but the later was on a white Tesla, so double entendre!

Two today - ISHGARD which I understand is a Final Fantasy reference, and LAVA U which may be a ukulele reference or a nickname for a university in Hawaii.
might also be a cutesy way to say “… love you”
Yesterday I saw a Lexus w/ MS ATM 22
Speaking as a player of Final Fantasy XIV (one of their MMORPGs), that’s definitely what it is. Ishgard is a city-state in Final Fantasy XIV, and it’s beautiful, in a very “high Gothic” / “fantasy castle” design style.
Saw this just yesterday: POPMUZK.
Saw IM YOU this morning. If they’re me then who am I? Am I them? It was too early in the morning for an existential crisis…
I’d love to see this in an accident situation +OH-NO+
Also, EL PECO
