The one with the long brown/blond (sorta)/red (sorta) hair who crosses his arms most of the time is iampunha, who goes by just about anything you like.
Perhaps we should color coordinate by state?

Hmmm…if I get to see Quietgirl beat up Noisyboy (Iampunha), how could I miss it? I can come for a few hours but my boss is having a party Sat. night and I think it is probably in my best interest to show up…plus there were be plenty of free alcohol there. As for Sqrl, you all will have to ask him yourselves. Unless there is a computer there with Everquest on it, I won’t guarantee it.
.
Anti-social behavior, perhaps? Or never heard of pockets? Too young to drink? Hands make great beer holders; I highly recommend them, if you have the means. That last part is just an excuse to ignore people. I tried it for a while, but people resorted to throwing stuff at me to get my attention. Wasn’t bad until they started throwing sharp pointy things.
But this occasion is dry, right? Won’t seem much like St. Pat’s day w/o a Guinness and Bushmill’s. Oh well, I guess green dye in the Sprite will have to suffice. Or maybe some Stewart’s Key Lime Soda? Hafta look into that.
You folks are such a great help. I’ll not have too much trouble with the ladies (they seem to stick in my mind pretty well); for the rest, I’m bringing a marker pen and some nerf balls.
Among other thing. IM me if you want an excruciatingly detailed explanation of my social patterns for the past several years. Otherwise, just attribute it to being in the wrong places at the wrong times for . . . well, a while.
I never really got into online gaming, but Motor City might change that. Besides, we don’t have any extension cords that will reach all the way to the park.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the weather reports for Saturday, sounds like the weather will cooperate. Oldies 100 mentioned a chance of rain, but I think that was for the morning.
We went shopping last night, here’s what we have so far:
4 assorted 2-liter sodas.
a whole bunch of chicken nuggets–some plain, some spciy & some cheesy (OK, so they’re not Irish, but they’re certainly party food).
chicken nuggets without the chicken (Hi, Opal!)–again some plain & some spicy.
a bunch of plates & cups. Couldn’t find green plates, but we did get green cups.
ingredients for watergate cake.
Ex Tank? I’m bringing some Stewart’s Key Lime. Also, some IBC Root Beer, because I’m addicted to it. I was going to color the ice green, but my husband said I couldn’t put food coloring in his new [white] cooler. Party-pooper.
I’m planning to cook something to bring, as well ::cackling wickedly and rubbing hands together in mad-scientist fashion:: but I haven’t decided what yet. Be warned. In celebration of holiday, I’m honoring my ethnic group (white-bread-suburban-WASP). Jello and mini-marshmallows may involved. Or something even worse.

Jeff, can you e-mail directions to pldennison@yahoo.com?
Leigh-Anne and I are going to bring my famous (or infamous) guacamole, and, if anyone is interested (esp. the vegetarians) some hummus as well. And we can bring along some drinks. Maybe Stewart’s Cream Soda?
Done.
Seeing as I’m already making dessert for my potluck lunch at work the day before…I’ll bring something for dessert. Lord only knows what it’ll be, of course…probably something with chocolate.
Jeff -
Please email directions to loreon@yahoo.com. Thanks. I’m working on clearing my saturdays aft so that I can attend. It’s going to be outside right?
In yet another “I hate this place!” move . . .
The GMU Office of Housing and Life and “Can we Make Your Life Complicated” Affairs has decreed that I choose my housing options this Saturday between 1 pm and 2:30 pm. So that makes things more difficult.
Jeff, when were you expecting the bulk of us? Any time after about 5 works for me, but I can always gasp speed:)
Also done, and we will definately be outside.
BTW: if there’s not enough parking spots for y’all on our side, there’s another lot across the street you can try.
Oh, and as with all our parties we expect attendees to come & go as they please. People are welcome to show up between 2:30 and 3 to help set up the picnic area. We’ve also invited a couple of people not involved with the SDMB.
I’m more than willing to bring “stuff”, whatever the nominal organizer(s) deems necessary, but I have limited accomodations here in Aberdeen.
So any non-snack food item I bring will be of the pre-cooked “deli” variety.
Iampunha: ah, no thanks. I’ll take your word for it.
Jeff, could you email directions to hawk1204@home.com? I seem to have lost my copy…
Done, again.
Also, this isn’t exactly a potluck picnic, so attendees can just bring themselves if so desired. It would be nice to have some tunes with us, does anyone have a boombox-type CD player they can bring?
I’ll still bring the queso because it’s damn good stuff.
Welp, I have to change Tark and I to a “no.” I know it’s not as if the world is going to further tilt on its axis or anything…the money’s not there and the energy’s not there.
My sister’s gonna take my kids for the afternoon and we’re going to spend it in Geek Heaven, blissfully MUDding.
Jeff, could you e-mail directions to Lucretia@home.com? I’m not sure what we will bring, though I’m leaning toward a veggie party plate.
You said it’s an outdoor-type picnic place…are kids welcome?
I hope so, that was the clincher that enticed me to come.
