Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Canes Corner after work.
Abraham, is that you?

Awake and a pot of tea brewing. Its cold and I deserve it.
58F here this morning. Little Louie was just a shivering in his car seat before the heater warmed it up. He is so cute when he shivers.
Blurf
I finally got some sleep with only one wake up at 250 am.
Morning all. Time to work (well, no). But I am going to get some of my paperwork organized (or tossed out and shredded), and put together 6 teams of 5-year old girls, so that is something resembling work. Scheduled a Dr. appointment for my annual physical next week.
Had toasted raisin bread for dinner last night so today I’m having cheeseburgers for breakfast (I’m retired and can do what I want!!). Dinner…no idea right now, but I’ll think of something.
44F now going up to 67F. We’ll pay for the nice three days we’ve had with rain on Firday and Sattiday.
All y’all take care of yourselves now.
Good checkup from the doc this mornin’. YAY! Even got taken off one of my meds. YAY! I got the good vampire this mornin’ so that went quick. YAY! OYKW called and said he really wants Mexican so we shall do that instead of burgers ‘n fries. I can put off my gnawin’ and cravin’ for a few days. Hey, he’s buyin’ so I’m eatin’!
Happy Thorsday!
It’s cold outside and I had to go out.
The front gate wasn’t latched tight and Ripple got out and I had to yell for Sah-son to get up and go with me to get him.
He didn’t go far and actually looked a little scared.
The space bar on my puter isn’t working so well and going back to put spaces between the words is getting tedious.
I slept pretty well last night, so I don’t feel so bad this morning.
Thorazine? :o
SO what happens if he pays for bungee jumpin’ or bull ridin’?
‘cept for one meeting later, I’m kinda sorta thumb-twiddlin’ today & into tomorrow sometime. I’d rather be busy.
**sari **- once weather permits, you might want to consider taking Ripple for walks in the neighborhood so he knows how to get home in case he gets out. Higgs slipped out once and I had no idea, but she did come back to the garage - which is how I found out she’d escaped.
Baby Engineer was in with the security investigator for almost 90 minutes - apparently they have to go thru the application form line by line! YOIKS!! Things sure have changed since I got my first clearance back in '73. Damned terrorists!
Well, lunch is over. Back to the grind…
This morning, as I was carrying the dogs food dishes through the living room, Old Man Schnauzer (Vinnie), in an effort to Get There First, ran into my leg, causing me to stumble and dump his breakfast all over the carpet. He volunteered to clean it up, which was all right with me, except that then Gibbs (Yorkie) wanted in on that action, even after I explained to him that his food dish containing the exact same kind of food, had made it to it’s appointed place. Dogs seem to operate on the theory that “anything anybody else is eating just has to be better than what I’ve been given to eat!”
So today we’re talking about cell phone sounds?
Since Wifey is a real estate broker, she needs to have a pretty up to date phone for her work and she usually goes for Verizon’s two-for-one deal, so I have a pretty new phone also, even though I really don’t care all that much. Anyway, my ring tone is ‘Scotland the Brave’ on the bagpipes. My text message sound is a tiny little voice saying “You have a tiny test message, a very tiny one, please read it.”, because it amuses me. I don’t have a sound for e-mails 'cause 90% of my e-mails are from businesses trying to sell me something. I don’t like emailing on my phone anyway, 'cause, while my phone accepts emails just fine, it refuses to send emails, period. I’ve given up trying to fix it, so please don’t try to hep me.
Dinner tonight will either be shrimp linguini or pad thai. I haven’t decided which yet.
Hubby’s father is very ill, in Iowa, in the ICU. I don’t have all the details, but it sounds like an infection. He and his sister are flying out of Portland tonight, and the rest of us are on standby.
I hope this turns around.
Update: He has coded and been resuscitated. He has a lung collapsed. Knowing him, if he’s conscious, he’s fussing. I’m worried.

I’m watching live stream of a race in Paris, they were interviewing the defending women’s champ, a Kiwi. They are interviewing her in accented English so there was some difficulty understanding. They ask her is this is the place to be tonight. She responds this is the place to be tonight. Then the announcer states, “There you have it, Suzy states this is the place to be tonight.”
Talk about putting words into someone’s mouth!
Then you don’t have to take up a collection.
OMG-They have the hooker’s names!
There was a crash of an F18 Hornet yesterday here killing two aviators. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it puts a gloom over the entire base and city.
Home and tahred. I don’t yet know what will be supper but I am not cooking. I refuse.
Feel better soonest emily!

{{{ anyone who needs one}}}
Today endeth my irkweek. The trees are making me all sneezy and wheezy. I hope to feel better tomorrow since I have things planned for the weekend.
**Butters **- you’ll be excited to learn that my Baby Engineer and his family will be in the Keys for a week including Easter! I know they’re renting a boat out of Key West on Easter to go snorkeling, but I think they’re staying in the middle Keys. So if you feel a disturbance in the Force, you’ll know why!
Supper was good. The dishwasher has finished its load and we’ve had some cake for dessert. I’m trying to get the afghan for my niece’s baby done before Easter so I can take it when we go for Easter dinner.
Boy, I’ve typed Easter a lot in this post…
I’m sorry to hear that their deaths are confirmed. Last night when I heard the news, it was still a rescue mission.
FiL status is now “anyone who wants to get here should come now” and I am upset that MiL 3.0 did not tell us in time for us all to go. I should have asked more questions.
Also the Suburban died on the way to the airport shuttle. I had it towed and hubby took a cab to the airport ($250). I am shopping for a new used car.
We have consumed Mexican comestibles and there’s ice cream so all is good.

Family be weird. When my Mother was sick my brother called and said “Mom’s in the hospital, but she’ll be okay, You don’t need to come.” I said *“I’m coming.” *
She died the following Friday.
In more cheerful news, Wifey showed some clients a $700,000+ house this afternoon and they loved it! She thinks she may be writing an offer tonight, so tonight’s dinner will be pizza, whenever she gets home.
Sorry about the aviators Butters, I grew up in Pensacola and so knew quite a few of them, usually good kids.
Dammit Swampy! I was just at the sto. Wish you’d reminded me about ice cream earlier.
