BigT, if you have a problem with the Giraffe board, grow some balls and post it over there. Seriously. In fact, go post over there. It’s a general message board, just like any other. Yes, there’s gossip. So? A lot of people post at both boards – there’s going to be discussion. You don’t to post there if you don’t want to. Jesus.
And no, someone being mentally ill or whatever doesn’t mean they’re exempt from ridicule. I’m tired of you going on and on about that. If someone’s a jackass, then they’re a jackass, and pulling the, “but I can’t help it, I’m SICK!” card makes them even MORE of a jackass if you ask me.
(And I don’t need to lose my temper to be mean. And you’re not mean, you’re just annoying.)

I went to the Giraffe Boards once. This thread is exactly what it is like - a chat room masquerading as a message board.
I suppose this is the place to put this. I don’t go to the Giraffe Boards anymore for pretty much one reason, and one reason only. The goddamn color scheme. I get the yellow and brown because of a giraffe, but the shades of the two colors are just fucking awful. It sounds like a joke, but I’m not kidding. The site just looks ugly. It’s purely a matter of aesthetics.
I’d post more, but I need to get back to the self-help book I ordered from Amazon, “Spanking the Monkey for Dummies”. The title has me a bit confused.
Pretty sure talking about GB is going to get the thread closed, so we probably shouldn’t do that, but while we’re here I’ll point out that you’re not the first to complain about the color scheme, which is why we have a variety to choose from. Use the pull-down menu on the lower left. (I recommend Default Style, personally, it’s very SDMBish.)
Which is not to say you or anyone should go to the GB. Once you get past the awful colors, you’re still left with the awful people.
