Goodie. If anyone else wants to join us, they’re welcome to come along. There’s a Irish pub next door to the Angelika if we all want to go have a drink before or after the movie. They have a really good selection of beers if you like that sort of thing.

November 2nd is a Sunday. Do we want to go to a early evening show and then have drinks (and food) at the pub or do we just want to see the 7-ish showing of Bubba Ho-Tep?
Our eldest won’t be returning from camp until 2PM that afternoon. Not sure if we could make a matinee. Depends on the showtime. Anyone have any specifics on showtimes the film is playing? We’d like to be able to talk to a babysitter about a specific potential set of timeframes instead of just “the 2nd, for several hours”. I couldn’t find anything at the Angelika theater’s site about the showtimes for this film.

I’ve got a conflict Sunday night, but ya’ll have fun. I hear rumors of a gathering for next weekend’s Matrix opening, so I hope to catch up with you then.
We’re not sure about a Saturday afternoon gig, the eldest returns from camp at two and right now we’re talking about having a babysitter over here. Since the return point for the camp is all of about eight blocks from the house it may be doable for the sitter to get them out to go get her or to have her dropped off at the house(it is on the way for several other parents). If an afternoon works better for more people let us know and we’ll try to swing it.
As for the Matrix: Revolutions. Moxmaiden and I will definitely be going on the 6th(it’s her b-day). Not sure where or what showtime yet though.

I’m down for the Matrix, just give me the scoop.
I was thinking 7-ish for Bubba Ho-Tep. I imagine I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see when the movie is actually playing. Would that time be okay for everyone of do you prefer a matinee?
Sunday’s movie times are:
11:50am, 1:50pm, 3:50pm, 5:50pm, 8:00pm, 10:00pm
gah. Gerbils ate my post. Anyway, the gist was that I am in for the 2nd. evening is better (5:50+) as I am at work until 4ish. Trinity Hall is the pub and is excelent. I’ll meet y’all directly after work if you don’t mind the smell of mexican food 
5:50 or 8 should work for us with a slight preference for 5:50. Babysitter is confirmed for the evening. Now we need to decide if we’re going to dinner or drinks, or what. If we’re going to have food/drinks before the film then we should probably shoot for the 8 o’clock show, and 5:50 if we want to have food/drinks after the show.

For those who haven’t met any of the DFW Dopers, just look for the weirdest people you see. 
You can also look for a short, mexican lady carrying a red, white, and blue Elvis purse with sequins.
Or, memorize this picture and try to spot us from that. I just hope you don’t mind too much when one of us tries to nibble on you.
And I definitely don’t mind the smell of mexican food.

Okay, the movie is tomorrow. We’re meeting in front of the Angelika for the 5:50 p.m. showing.
So far we have Mtgman, Moxmaiden, Legolamb, My Darn Snake Legs, and me. Anyone else? After the movie we’re heading to Trinity Hall Pub for drinks and possibly dinner. I can very easily be talked into sushi if y’all want to go that route.
Legolamb also mentioned there’s a nice ice cream parlour there as well.

Don’t forget Balance. And Moxmaiden is interested in dinner, but I don’t think she would be interested in sushi.

Mtgman - most places that serve sushi also serve teriyaki, tempura and other japanese dishes besides sushi.
