I want you to know that my aunt was standing with me when I opened it! She has always thought that internet interactions were on the creepy side anyway and now she is convinced! She said, “Um, who is this person?” When I explained, she was shocked that I had never met you and yet you sent this to me! She left rather quickly! I know she’s telling the rest of the family that some pervert I’ve never met but talked to on the internet sent me animal-skin G-string for Christmas!
Oh, and the best part is the fact that the package actually says “underwear” right there on the outside! I’m sure my mailman was pleased!
I haven’t actually put it on yet. I’m saving it for a special occasion–like, say, the next lodge meeting of the Brotherhood of Water Buffalo! Or maybe I’ll put together a nice Pocahontas fantasy for my hubby!
Thank you very much! It is the most unique and funny Christmas gift I received! And thanks for the consideration on the virile young man–it’s the thought that counts!
Yeah, well, my family all thought I was completely out of my tree, because this was the most fun thing I’ve done in ages. I wandered around chortling “Leather undies to Tennessee”, for days. Where else but the Straight Dope could one gift such things and find them appreciated?
Ahem.
This was a custom item, made by myself. It had to be, well, risque, but not disgusting. As well as representative of the locale. Dildos are just too, too personal, not to mention uninspired.
My husband leaned strongly toward the rabbit fur bikini idea.
I had to put the contents on the @$@*!& box. Customs officials on either side of the border get VERY shirty about such things. As it was, I worried about getting smacked for not declaring leather goods. However, I was prepared to play ignorant hick to the hilt if I got caught. “Gawrsh, sir, I din’t know that! I’m from the North, we don’t gotta worry about that stuff . . .”
Enjoy!

PS I still wanna know if it fits, dammit! It’s such a pain to judge size by a head-and-shoulders shot.
well, what to my wondering eyes did appear? a package from santa.
thank you, cranky as an old man. yes, it got here in plenty of time for christmas. i had quite a laugh at the contents. i’ll have a hard time waiting 'till christmas to play the “game.” how on earth did you know about the fortune cookie? i must have stared at a display of them for about 10 minutes before i convinced myself i had to buy for others, not me. in a rather good way i often think of michigan and manure. the animal crappers are fantastic! once again how did you know of my strange manure thoughts?
It dropped to a shivering 47 F today! I hate winter!!!
Oh yeah…
I got my Gift!!! Turns out I actually got it a few days ago, but no one ever tells me anything. I got a cool dragon! Woohoo!! She will sit happily with the others.
Well, I managed to swing by the post office today and picked up my package. Got me a Newton’s Cradle from Kinoons. So not only did I get a present, but I learned what those clicking metal balls are called. What gave you the idea, Kinoons? (It has, btw, co-opted the place of honor, between the votive candle holder and the ceramic elephant wearing ChiDope leis, previously held by the handcuffs.)
[sub]I was pepperlandgirl’s Secret Santa. Think she’s reading this thread?[/sub]
I got a notice from the post office yesterday. So I trekked through the latest Chicago snowstorm to the post office today to pick up a big box o’ stuff. I am very impatient, and I tried to rip it open in the car, but couldn’t get through the duct tape. So I had to wait til I got home. Woo hoo! I got a bunch of bath stuff, two cute little bear ornamenents, which are now on the tree, some holiday votive candles, and a bar of Lindt. If I move my little tree into the bathroom, I can enjoy all at once tonight while I take a bath by candelight and eat chocolate, all at the same time.
Thank you, Secret Santa!
And Bear_Nenno, I sent you the dragon. You had me worried there - I sent it about 10 days ago.
WooHoo, I got a SD Tshirt, and a SD sweatshirt with my username on the front! What a wonderful, thoughtful gift, and he went to so much effort, too! Thank you, SO much! And to top it all off, two stamps for my cardmaking!
I’m still waiting… I don’t wanna come across as impatient, 'cause I too have enjoyed the whole Secret Santa game even aside from whether or not I end up with anything. However, the University’s mailing center has been terribly slow & many people’s holiday deliveries have been lost or delayed, and I would feel terrible if my Santa sent something and thought I wasn’t bothering to acknowledge it.
Of course, I’m out of the office again until Wednesay thanks to New Year’s!
Did you have to write it so small? I almost missed that!
Did you see the thread I started to thank you? If not, THANK YOU! That was a wonderful present, and it really, really made my dad! (I’m still eating the chocolate). I absolutely love the calender, and I really love the book!!!
