I’ve posted another. This time I’m in Vertumnus and Pomona, by Jacopo Pontormo. That’s not my head, incidentally. Well, it is, but rather that’s not my hair, right ear, or face–those are from the original fresco. In David, my face was obscured enough that I didn’t care, but there’s no silly hat to pull down here.
I can’t figure out all of the elements, but there are some things about that shot (I mean the composition, not the lovely subject:)) that make it work on a lot more levels artistically than I’m betting you intended. The dissonance with the hands (faced mostly forward), the face (side, with eyes closed), the lipstick and necklace, the lack of body-hiding props and the slightly disheveled hair contribute to a question: Do I care, or don’t I?
I really like your hair in the 2nd photo actually, that was the first thing I thought upon viewing. It’s very… I don’t know- attractive? I just like it a lot though.
Good on you for posting though, and you shouldn’t be ashamed of your body- you’re very pretty, and I’ll just end this post here, so it doesn’t get all skivvy and perverted.
But I take my hat off to you for doing something that I probably cannot do yet due to my own self image views, which I’m working on. Actually, that kudos goes to all of you in here, ladies (and yes… even you dudes). I respect the fact that you all have posted your images up here, and I thank you for sharing a part of yourself with the rest of us out here- for better or for worse.

Plenty brave for this corner:) And in fact, a large part of the enjoyment is the confidence and bravery. If you look like you aren’t enjoying what you’re doing – and this is for everything, not just posing for the camera – I won’t enjoy it as much. That’s why the face shot is so important: You give off a certain “Here I am, and if you don’t like it, whatever” air, and that confidence makes the first picture more attractive because of the new emotional connection to the person it’s of.
As Jack Palance once said, “Confidence is very sexy, don’t you think?”
Kalypso I agree with Iampunha that the second picture has more artistic merit than you think. Note how your knees, breasts, hands, shoulders, form the sides of a triangle with the apex at your face.
I also agree with him that confidence and smiles are sexy. I have no interest in a model who doesn’t look like they are enjoying what they are doing.
Did I metion I like my ladies on the plump side?

I don’t know what it is, but women can be what some label ‘fat’ and simply look healthy, luscious, curvaceous, and altogether scrumptious. Thank you for your beauty.
But this thread also brings sadness. One of the female posters resembles the greatest regret of my life: a woman who I knew in university, and never quite got the nerve to ask out, even though we were good friends. Only much later did I realise that I might have had a chance, and also find out that we would even have been religiously compatible (it’s not that easy to find neo-pagans even these days…)
I think the second picture is beautiful, and I wish that people in general would see the beauty in bodies like ours instead of all the assumptions that we have attached to them.

Well, while people in general may not (or at least they say they don’t), I trust this thread (and the other one) has laid to rest any notion that those of us who like cushions are the strong, silent type:D
DocCathode, in online roleplaying (or any RPG for that matter) I always go the Paladin/Holy-aligned types.
And now I’m being tempted to switch sides, because I looked at your photostream. Oh yes, that is a hot series of shots. I need a shirt that says, “Come to the Dark Side, we have DocCathode.”

etgaw, I love the tats you have! You have a lovely photostream too, the vines going up along your body is such a wonderful look. I’ve imagined clothing with the same theme in embroidery, as well as tats, and seeing it actually done that way is so great. Someday when I get to my target weight range, I might just have to copy you with my own little twists thrown in if that’s okay.
And FWIW, I think your body looks perfect.
