Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

A friend just texted me that Mark Meadows tested positive for COVID. So at least one person gives a shit.

Sorry, I thought this was the gangrene self-help group.

And he was in the residence on election night.

He’s the only human being on this planet for which I will be paying the money for a plane ticket to piss on their grave. The damage Trump has done to the country is dwarfed by the damage that Mitch has caused to this country and its political institution and norms. Fuck that guy.

I have no sympathy.

Hey, watch it!
We have are fair share of racist idiots. But no more than most other states.

Thanks for explaining it!

Nah. He’ll be carried by Marine One to Walter Ree… Sorry. I can’t even finish it. Reap, sowing, chickens coming home to roost. Once in a while, people get what they deserve.

I’m not fully on board with Joe winning, but I am putting the champagne in the fridge.

I’ll bet you live in Maracopa. When I’m down there, it looks like you folks also believe in COVID.

Yesterday, I was following a car on a residential road in Yavapai County. I watched as a big red pick-up blew through a stop sign and hit the little silver Kia. The young black man got out of his little car, the 30ish white woman opened the door of her truck and stood on the doorsill looking at the damage while holding a finger up to stop the poor guy from talking because she was still on the phone.

I gave the young man my name and number, then thought about it and pulled over so my dash cam was recording everything that happened. I was very frightened for the young black man and felt I should be there to at least testify about how he ended up getting killed.

They appear to be rounding up, somewhat incorrectly it seems. I went on their website and plugged in the numbers and got a difference of 0.004339090 (or 0.433%)

I don’t disbelieve you; I’m not checking the math, so thanks!

I think DJT is mentally…deranged…wrong…unstable…addled…goofy…nuts…bent…moron…idiot…pick your adjective.

McConnell is lucid and smart. He knows what he is doing. That’s what makes him evil. He knows the horrors he is pushing and he does it anyway.

Neither have I! The superb irony here is that Toronto real estate has been incredibly hot in that same period, so while those being fleeced by Trump’s alleged allure were losing millions, sensible real estate investments were doubling in value or more during that same time period, some even tripling. We’ve had many decades now where it’s essentially impossible to lose money buying real estate in or around Toronto, much like it’s pretty much impossible to lose money running a casino – but what we now know is expressed in those famous and eloquent words, “everything that Trump touches turns to shit”. There had been a movement for quite some time to rip his name off that development on the basis of being a municipal and national embarrassment.

I actually screwed up a bit of the math (didn’t count Jorgensen) - anyways Biden has 49.56% which NBC is rounding up to 49.6% which is the difference.

Yes, I live in Scottsdale.
But, I have a place in Williams, and even though Coconino is pretty Blue, Williams isn’t. We are surrounded by Trumpsters. I just avoid politics up there.

Good for you to help the guy who got hit. I hope your testimony helps him.

I’d like to see it be a 65k margin, and the victory song be Pennsylvania 6-5000.

I used to live in Carefree.

Which, as big as Scottsdale is, means I may have been within walking distance or a two hour drive of you. (Arizona is weird like that)

Exactly! There is a calculated malice in Mitch that DJT aspires to but doesn’t even understand. DJT doesn’t plan, he shoots from the hip with only one immediate goal in mind: self-aggrandizement. He sows chaos to make himself seem smarter than the people around him. He’s a big faker.

After meeting with Trump in the wake of the 2016 election, Obama said to Biden: He’s a bullshitter

That about sums up the whole thing.

I’m going to drop the topic in this thread, because it’s about governing, not the election.
