Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

Texas is going Trumpy but Biden is still in with a chance in NC. I’m not holding my breath about GA.

Uh, I think that is happening. Isn’t it?

Biden is almost surely going to lose GA. NC might be a razor’s edge - I’m still hopeful there.

While I have no expectation he will win Georgia and never did, we probably won’t know about NC tonight.

I dunno. Biden seems to be doing well in TX as of right now.

There’s something so disconcerting about watching it live. Reading about all the predictions was so different.

I wasn’t expecting to be here tonight. This helps a little.

Oh no! What awful timing. Hope it gets sorted out soon.

For the record, I ultimately picked Trump in GA. So I won’t panic if Biden loses. But, it does make other states quite a bit more important.

Oh my God I just got a horrible sense of deja-vu.

I have no faith he can win it. I’m about to break out in tears and I’m a 42 year old man.

The Dem strongholds reported all their mail-in votes first, but haven’t started counting day-of votes which are expected to skew more Trump. See here and expand the counties.

Im telling you im still gunning for faithless electors flipping a settled election for MAXIMUM CHAOS.

I saw a tweet from a data nerd saying that while Biden is outperforming Clinton in some TX counties, it doesn’t appear to be enough to flip it.

I’m a 43 year old woman and I want to crawl back into my mother’s womb.

This website hasn’t crashed as of right now.

The main reason that gives us hope is that if Biden can do much better than Clinton in a state like TX, and outperform the polls, then that suggests that him doing worse than the polls in FL isn’t proof that there are nationwide shy Trump voters or anything, but something specific to FL.

CNN gives CT to Biden, SD to Loser Donald.

I read Georgia might not be able to fully report tonight due to a water main break or something…?

In either case, I’m still not sure what folks here were hoping for at 9:15 EDT. I mean, I would’ve loved indications of a nice decisive landslide in Biden’s favor, but I sure as hell wasn’t counting on it, nor do I see how the current situation means he lost.

Hickenlooper won!

Pennsylvania is going to be a cluster before the counting is done.

At the polls in this little corner of CT:

Biden 589
Trump 522
Libertarian 16
Green 5
write-ins 7
blank 3
Total 1142

Plus ~1000 absentee ballots
