Biden was a bit down on my list. As time went on, i grew to believe he would be the best choice.
Today I was remembering his statement of “ I’ll beat him like a drum”.
It will be lovely to have humour back at the White House, and vp elect has a real joy.
I just put NBC on. First time I’m tuning in for SNL in decades.
Local news being cut short. SNL starting now.
I just have to take a second and say thanks for sharing this with all of us. It sounds like you and your wife are wonderful parents and have delightful kids. Their interest in all of this and the way you have all shared this experience as a family warms my sometimes rather cold, hard heart.

I just watched the cold open political sketch. The host (Dave Chappelle) is doing his monologue now.

I just spent 30 minutes arguing with a Vietnamese man (in Vietnam) who’s strongly pro-Trump and who insisted the election isn’t over until the Supreme Court rules. This is the second such argument I’ve had with a Vietnamese citizen. I’d forgotten how popular Trump is in Vietnam, where he’s viewed as tough on China.
The SNL opening sketch was OK.
It parodied Biden’s and Harris’s victory speeches from earlier tonight. Also had Alec Baldwin on as Trump singing a sad, mournful version of Macho Man. 
Anyway, I haven’t been all that enamored of Jim Carrey portraying Joe Biden this season, so it was fairly meh for me.
SNL just starting now, 1:15 AM local.
All of the above is why we shouldn’t ever have Republican presidents.
Bah! This is one of those rare moments when I’m sorry I don’t have a TV and am not super-clever regarding the internet. Hulu or Netflix (I forget which, doesn’t matter as I have both) will show SNL’s show later and I’ll watch it on my computer then. But damn, I would enjoy watching it on a big screen live right now.
It seemed to me to be hastily cobbled together. Understandable, given time constraints. It had its moments, though.

Chappelle is in classic form. There will be many people complaining about him loudly tomorrow, saying he is going to far.
