60,000 votes. In total. That’s actually pretty impressive - I’ve never heard of a third-party candidate with national name recognition receiving so few votes.
The best reply I’ve heard to this is that the whistleblower has simply made a mistake: what they actually saw was a van owned by Biden-Harris Total Landscaping.
This is likely why so few GOP politicians are supporting trump in his stolen elections cries.
The GOP overall came out of this much better than they thought. Altho they lost votes in the Senate, the Dems arent gonna get that majority, at best 50/50 and that is unlikely. They picked up a few seats in the House and won in a few state legislatures.
This is one point that I think should make people hesitate about going to a national popular vote for president. If there were ever an election that close under the popular vote system, you’d have the Florida 2000 recount nonsense across literally the entire country.
Right. Ballots were being delivered for counting by the campaigns themselves. The “whistleblower” for some reason didn’t feel it necessary to mention which counting center. The “Democrats” (what, were they wearing windbreakers with “Democrat” in big yellow letters on the back?) were cutting open ballots with letter openers, and altering the ballots in some way that, presumably, would have been completely undetectable to the counters. Despite the time-consuming nature of such an operation, enough ballots were altered to significantly change the vote tally. This was all being done in the open air, in a parking lot.

I agree that misinformation is a problem, but I don’t think mocking and humiliating people is the path to fixing it. Adults don’t like to be scolded, and I think they’re more likely to rebel against the scolding rather than to listen and honestly re-evaluate their beliefs.

I know this is old news on this thread now, but it bothered me how hard you went after Biden on the mask thing. I know you said alcohol was to blame the next morning, and that’s cool.
Still, I think I have the answer for you about why Biden didn’t wear his mask for a few minutes just after the race was called for him: Historic photos. It’s not that he forgot, or was unaware of what he was doing. He simply understood that these photographs of him winning his race would be in the historic record for time immemorial. Maybe he didn’t want every single photo of him winning to have half his face covered up.

Not likely at all. With 50 states, you get this recount nonsense in relatively close elections if the swing state is super close (and by definition the swing state is gonna be super close). With a popular vote, there would’ve been no recount nonsense. 2000 Florida came down to less than a tenth of a percent. 2000 nationwide had a difference of a half a percent.
Popular vote drastically decreases the likelihood of a too-close-to-call election.
I think there may be some deep psychological issues going on with Lindsey right now. I’m sure he realizes that Trump lost, but his whole career he’s always needed to be attached to a much stronger personality in whose image he can mold himself. For a long time it was John McCain, and when he passed Lindsey glommed onto Trump. Where does he go if Trump passes off the scene? How will Lindsey know who he is without Trump? I imagine he’s still in denial.

Agree. I meant to mock and humiliate the sources of misinformation, not your friends and family. For my brother, I would make a counterpoint to what he was saying, and provide a link with data (like we do here) to support it. I would also point-out how wrong and stupid some of the concepts he was supporting are (without calling him wrong and stupid). I also made a point not to challenge him on how he voted, just to challenge the info he used to make his decision.
Mitch has no personality. Lindsey needs a larger-than-life personality he can do his best to imitate and ultimately seek approval from. I won’t make any guesses as to how he got this way, but I swear I can hear, “Cat’s in the Cradle” in the background right now.
