Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

They’re not slightly nervous, they’re right nervous. Biden is still slightly non track to win but we could be heading to an ugly spectacle of a contested election

Poster name checks out.

In other words, exactly what the wonks have been saying would happen for months is now happening.

The media is still gunshy from 2000. Ohio is over. Do the math. It’ll tighten a little, maybe. Trump will win by 6+ points.

If - and I’m just hypothetically speaking - if trump wins and keeps the Senate, then they could even pick up another justice. Not to mention ram through more federal justices.

DOJ would probably be gutted, as would much of the civil service.

Yep, I was trying to color it a little more positive. The reporter didn’t sound that positive.

We have absolutely no idea how many mail-in ballots are still en route. It’s not possible to do the math with such a significant figure missing.

Thank you for some optimism. The fact that Georgia was competitive, among many other things, is a good sign. But - oh fuck this, we are talking about at least decade before the reptile brains are an insignificant factor in nur elections. If fucking Trump in a fucking pandemic did not result in a landslide, well, maybe it will take 500k dead or more for enough people to wake up.

When was the last time in world history when I people’s revolution happened when things were going well?

CBS just told Colbert that they won’t know anything tonight.

I want Biden to win too, but he’s lost Ohio. He can still win the election.

But , if there are that many reptile-brain voters and Biden might lose the election due to them and these aforementioned reptile-brain voters are very well-known quantity, what have the Dems done to get their votes? Even if Biden, which is still the likeliest outcome at 23:40, why isn’t he winning by a landslide?

The NYT reports most votes still to be counted in Arizona are in Republican counties; the advantage is significant, so it seems Biden will lose Arizona.

On the other hand, Fox News just called AZ for Biden. So…?

I have no idea how they can justify that call. None. It makes no sense.

Biden is leading in NE-1.

What’s interesting is on the conservative subreddit, they’re saying that Biden has almost definitely won. LOL Talk about “bothsideism”

Like I said before, there are too many conflicting assumptions, projections, and sometimes even actual numbers.

I’ve calmed significantly in the past ten minutes. I think I might actually be able to switch off for a while soon.

lol maybe I need to go there instead

Fivethirtyeight notes that Fox has its own exit polls on AZ, but it may be a premature call.

Maybe… as for me I’m going to bed.

I would think Fox would do everything to make Trump the projected winner of each state.
