I think he does think that. I do believe there is a chance he still thinks they are going to win this thing back.
Absolutely anything non-rational is possible with Trump but I don’t expect this. One of the few semi positive things that Trumpists can say about Trump is that he has been one of the few presidents who hasn’t started any foreign military engagements. There is plenty of debate on whether that’s good but most Trumpists would say it is. Starting a war with Iran would negate that and wouldn’t keep Trump in the White House.
Frankly, I wouldn’t put it past Trump to do something aggressive regarding Iran just to keep the U.S. and Iran from rejoining the nuclear deal.
And those pardons for family, friends, hangers-on, well-heeled campaign contributors and war criminals aren’t gonna sign themselves.
No, he is looking forward to millions of $$$ in speaking engagements.
Pence may be just Ed McMahon without the hearty laugh, but he isnt insane.
News reporting 140 or more House Republicans are going to vote to reject the Electoral College results.
And will suffer no adverse consequence from doing so. That’s just where we are as a country right now.
