Biden is likely to win most or all of those states once all votes have been counted.
I wish PBS’s map would stop showing Virginia blue. Especially when their chyron showed Trump currently leading.
Virginia is currently 52-45 for Biden with 75% counted. Biden has won Virginia.
I find that unlikely. You think Biden is gonna win Texas? or Ohio?
All humans are malleable and susceptible to the right messages. Democrats just need to grow some balls, shut the fuck up about race, gender, guns, and abortion, and run economic populists who will appeal to parochial white voters and parochial minority voters, and the support from the progressive wings will follow.
Yes to both.
NBC has just projected Ohio for Trump.
Those are showing in half-tones who is currently leading the count, and their placement is based on how close that lead is. The closer to the middle of the graphic, the higher the possibility it could go to the other side.
I guess the worst possible result ie Trump ahead at close of counting, claims victory and seeks to shut it all down while Biden overtakes when counting resumes, has been avoided.
Yeah, I know.
I can’t see why - there hasn’t been any change in the percentage of the vote counted for over an hour.
Breakdown of returned early ballots for AZ was 37% R, 36% D, 26% Ind. So it’s not a state where early votes biased D.
Nope.
I am not a naive person politically, but jeez I had this stupid idea Biden would win NC and FL and maybe GA, and that would mean, as the headlines would say, here and around the world, "America Rejects Trump."But it would not mean that at all, it would mean a tiny majority in a few states would have rejected Trump. He still has 42. Fucking. Percent. Approval rating. My most optimistic view of the future is that COVID will eventually end, maybe this time next year, and we will bumble along. The re-election of Trump is not going to result in a fascist state, or at least no more of one than we already have.
I say this as Wolf breathlessly announces that they are calling VA for Biden
Once they counted the suburbs that switched fast. It is clearly a Biden hold, as predicted.
You’re being oddly silly about Texas and Ohio, though. Texas doesn’t have many remaining mail ins, nor is there any urban county that has underreported. Trump is up by 600,000 votes. There is no trend in any county that suggests Biden will make a significant gain from 2016. If you truly think Biden will win Texas, what odds will you give me on that?
If Donald wins, there are two potential outcomes - fascism, or revolution.
They’re not projecting anything there with those little colors. Let’s look at MIchigan. Michigan may be light pink, but they’ve only got a whisker over 50% reporting. Wayne County? Less than 50% reporting. Ingham County? 1% reporting. Genessee? A quarter reporting. That means Detroit, Lansing and Flint still haven’t reported, and neither have most of the early ballots been counted.
Pennsylvania may be light pink, as may Wisconsin, but that doesn’t mean they’re projecting Trump or that he even leads. It means the votes that have been tallied so far show Trump in some sort of lead.
Mail-ins that arrive tomorrow can still be counted.
Ok. Let’s see how it goes.
Yes they can. There aren’t millions of them. I’ll give you five to one Trump wins, whaddya say?
