Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

He isn’t calling to stop the voting now. He was calling to stop the voting when he was ahead.

How about someone like Barak Obama? How about someone who didn’t spend a lifetime feeding from the public trough? How about someone who can represent and defend American principles? Maybe it’s time to find out why the Democrat Party can identify a leader.

Does anyone know the current vote tally in ME district 2?

How’s he in the lead? He’s way ahead on PV and if counting stopped now at EV Biden would eb at 270-268.

No. That’s the called state counts. According to the AP, there are seven uncalled states, plus one EV in Maine. If the counting stopped now, and the reported counts are accurate, Biden would be at 270 EV’s. The uncalled states still get to cast their EV’s. The news just isn’t counting them yet as they’re still uncertain.

I know that. In fact, that’s why I said this in the post you just responded to.

Yeah, I see he is inching ahead. I remain pessimistic because I don’t want to deal with the possible disappointment.

Seeing the results last night, I now believe the only reason Obama won twice was because John McCain was the Republican version of Jimmy Carter and Mitt Romney the Republican version of Al Gore. Had Trump been the incumbent in 2008 I bet he would have beat Obama.

I think this says a lot about you and the conservative right.

It is not liberals that have moved left. It is a distinct and sharp swerve to the very far right of conservatives that has changed. The left has barely budged one way or another.

Put another way, it’s not me, it’s you.

Exactly. Where are the Republicans trying to get rid of the crazy in the GOP? Calling out the “Q” nonsense? Calling out the “climate change is fake” BS? Calling out the white nationalism? Calling out the fascism?

It is amazing how some Republicans say they only voted Republican because the Democrats made them because of the small extreme Democrat contingent. It rings pretty hollow.

Of course it is, blaming the other guy is always the way to go!

I lived in PA for 10 years, 10 great years as I remember them, I always thought I’d return some day. I still have family there, but other than to see them you couldn’t pay me to return now. Yeah, it’s not Philly or Pittburg that’s the problem, but this isn’t old time conservatism anymore, the red portion has endorsed the mean spirited Trumpian philosophy.

On my Facebook I’m friends with a woman from Texas who is also part latino and she voted Trump. Why? Biden said he will sign laws that will require any womens athletics programs to accept any man who identifies as a woman. She hates this idea as do most female athletes and she happens to do womens roller derby.

When one person is standing across the street and a different person is lighting a match to the gasoline they just poured on the building…yeah. I know who to blame.

Cite?

You can stop now, really. I know you do

Oh good lord

So, she voted based on disinformation. That’s sad.

In other words, because she believed some made-up propaganda. Because that statement has no relation to the real world.

Maybe true. I think people still recognized the intelligence and reason in Obama and also somehow saw him as being an outsider and underdog. But yes, compared to McCain and Romney a lot of people look good. And Obama was definitely an anomaly in the Democratic Party and he makes the rest of them look bad in comparison.
