The 538 popular vote projections are not good. They are FURTHER off, from what we can see, than they were in 2016. In many swing states they missed by 6-8 percent, an appalling error.
God. You know what? If Trump loses and doesn’t go to jail, will he try to run in 2024? Or at least claim he is, so that he can go on an endless summer of rallies and use his base as leverage to basically still run the party?
One thing that I think could work is a “moon shot” level committment to building high-speed rail infrastructure and a promise to give good and well-paying jobs and benefits in that industry - including lifetime free travel on the trains once they’re built - to anyone and everyone who might find themselves out of work as a result of a drawdown on the fossil fuel energy.

I honestly feel that Trump egging them on and Trump jr saying they won Pennsylvania simply to sell his base on the stolen election narrative should be a criminal offense. I am aware it’ll never happen though.
When does Pennsylvania update us? I mean, are they still going with the vote count?

I know there is no need to complete the count by any commonly accepted time, but I cannot think of any reason not to proceed w/ due deliberate speed.
They’re updating in shreds - since this morning the NYT vote count has crept up from 82 or 83% I think to 86% and Trump’s lead has dwindled from ~450,000 votes to ~250,000 votes.
Meanwhile Trump’s ~77,000 vote lead in Georgia has dropped to ~47,000, as the count has crept from 93% to 95%.
It’s going to be painfully close everywhere.
I just heard that Nevada will announce something at 10 am tomorrow. I don’t know why such a specific time, and I’m assuming that’s 10 am Nevada time.
I think Pennsylvania is trying their best to do a legit job counting votes, so I’m not exactly pissed off at them.
Pennsylvania is still counting, and is also still trying to extract “missing ballots” stuck in the USPS thanks to that fucker DeJoy.
It’s taking so long, in part, because it’s GOING to end up before several judges quite possibly. They all want to make sure they get it RIGHT. So right it stands up to ANY scrutiny.
That’s gonna take a little longer.

With 14% yet to report, and a conservative 30k per percent margin for Biden, that would be a net of 420k and a final Biden advantage of about 150k.

They interviewed the dude in Clark County in front of an empty room full of machines with like one guy milling around. They basically said they were following the SoS lead when they said nothing was due until tomorrow so I guess they just sent folks home. Because, fuck, who cares about the election of the leader of the free world amirite?
At least PA is working. And has a ton of ballots to count, while the state legislature tied there hands about when to start. But NV has no excuse.
I backed Biden yesterday when his price got out to $3.70 with the early counts. My bookmaker just send through notification that they have already paid out on Biden as the winner.
I could easily google my question, but I’d rather talk to y’all. Has there ever been another electoral college tally that ended at 270 to 268? I find it just a little exquisite that Trump would lose by such a small margin and have to face the humiliation.
I read - on Politico I think - that they have counted all in person votes and all mail ballots received. But NV mails ballots to EVERYONE, and will accept them for some time. So the “unreported” percentage might NEVER be received.
