Evil Dead Mafia II - Teaser and Sign-Ups [Game On!]

I can think of a couple of reasons - and so I’m sure you can as well.
A RB (no matter what alignment) can miss a deadline. A scum RB might have to give up their Night action to preform the NK, to pass on the book and so on.

I’m not saying you can’t be Town RB. But I am saying that proving you can block will not prove your alignment. And that will be the case even if you were the greatest mafia-player to walk the earth.

So sorry to put you in such a fret. I’m trying not to get lynched. I’m trying to help the town win. Honestly, even if I do get lynched, I feel our chances are really good to win. And I can finish the game spoiled and reading at my leisure.

Would you feel better if I blocked you tonight? If I blocked someone designated by one of our masons? I honestly have no idea on whom to use it, so I’m happy to oblige.
Those reasons, TL, all fall under “really bad scum play”. I did think of one, though. Maybe mine was a one shot deal and I used it on wanderers. But, that one I can disprove this evening. I guess there is the NK deal. But when I have been scum, each scum has to kill one night. So, while that may explain one non block, it wouldn’t explain the rest.

Well, if it looks scummy, I’m surprised you haven’t voted me.

I’ve asked story if he can find a replacement for me, but until that happens, I’ll try to participate enough to avoid getting myself modkilled. As it stands, I have the use of a laptop for the next 24 hours or so, after which I’ll be totally cut off for at least 3-4 days. If no replacement player is forthcoming by the time I get home from work tomorrow, I’m intending to roleclaim.

If anybody has any questions, I’d ask that they flag them up clearly for me. Given the amount of other crap I’ve got to sort out, and the volume of posts this game produces, I’ll only going to have time to skim the discussions before disappearing again.
@Normal Phase

Thanks for passing on the message, and for your kind expressions of sympathy for my plight. I can’t tell you how frustrating it was to have to drop out of so many awesome games just when I had the time to really throw myself into them.

Today has turned into a veritable firehose of claimed information and not much of it in the shape of anything I was expecting, and I like to think I had an open mind of what to expect. I’ll be in the corner digesting for awhile.

hugs

Do what you can.

Since I haven’t been entirely clear about Night One – 'twasn’t me. Wasn’t Stanislaus either if I’m counting right.

Also, I’m willing to help vote you into second place, I think, though it depends on how the voting is going otherwise. Unfortunately, we don’t have an infinite amount of time. We’ll need to start making decisions rather soon. I’ll give ten bucks to every townie who casts a reasoned vote by the time I wake up in the morning.

I could always use $10.

Vote: brewha

For someone who was suspicious of peeker on Day 1, I find it amazing that he never voted him. I always seem to scutinize more carefully the posts of people I find suspicious, and find scummy things even when they are not scum. I find it odd that brewha claims to have been suspicious of peeker on Day 1, but was not the one who originally brought forth the suspicions on peeker. Even when the suspicions and votes started, brewha remained focused on NAF.

Why did he vote Telcontar Day 1, if he was suspicious of peeker? Why didn’t he try to block Telcontar?

His claim toDay, I found just a little off, but can’t put my finger on anything other than he spent a lot of time trying to convince us that he is confirmed town. He just seemed to be protesting a little too much.

NETA: There’s also the whole weird unvote of Mrs. even though he thought her scummy, and voting lilflower even when he thought her town, because he forgot about PFKs?

Yes, it’s one thing if you have no good scum reads on anyone and don’t want to mess things up on Night 1, but if he’s claiming to have a Scum Vibe, it doesn’t make much sense to not use his power.

As others have said, some mods encourage tossing out your thoughts, they can be passed on to the peanut gallery which, in my experience, makes the watching of the game more interesting.

If **Drain’s **claim is to be believed, she is now essentially Vanilla and not a good example to use. Likewise Oy! with whatever objects she may still possess; none of them were particularly dangerous.

Bolding mine. You mean other than the fact that **peeker **is a confirmed scum roleblocker. Do you think there are two? Or maybe two separate scum factions, each with their own roleblocker?

Well, there is that. But since lilflower is claiming to be a town stand-by, I see no reason why brewha could not be a scum stand-by. And if the scum stand-by is a one-shot power like lilflower’s, then that would also explain there only being one message about being role-blocked?

I have been conflicted on claiming becuase I have 2 pieces of information. One that I think will help town to be revealed, and one that I think will not help town. 3 pieces if you count the role block thing.

Here is the pm from story about the role block

Here is my role pm

Night one I used stakeout on NAF. Figured watching the guy with the book would make sense

And here is what i got

So, vote Tom Scud

As I believe you have the book and are a PFK.

Night two I was role blocked.

Night 3 didn’t happen.

Night 4 I used my police contact, and here’s the thing. I hit the Doc

What is best to do here? keep the Doc id under wraps, or get it out there?

Natlaw has claimed Voodoo Witchdoctor. Is this the name you got?

Yeah. So much for the big secret. I had missed that. Time to go through the last couple of days again I guess.

Looks like OAOW won that round.

I’ll be more than happy to help Natlaw if needed. But since all you guy know is that I’m not a demon, I’ll consider myself non-comfirmed and vote

Tom Scud

So the options are:

  1. You and Natlaw are both scum using up fake power roles to try and convince us you are town
  2. You are scum claiming prior knowledge of an already revealed power role to try to convince us you are town and very cleverly making it look like you didn’t see that reveal
  3. You’re both town

Before I make a decision, I’m going to go and check what you were saying about Guiri/Tom after Night One.

Not much, because at the time i was more suspicious of Idle due to his 180 on NAF, given that I knew he had targeted NAF he was looking likely to have the book himself.

In which case lynching them would be an excellent idea.

If we lynch Tom Scud and he flips town we would go back and take a closer look at OAOW and likely lynch him. ATM a 1:1 is not bad for Town.

The Tom better show up with a really good explanation, don’t he?

And there might be other options:

  1. Both er PFK/3rd parties
Still a good idea to lynch them

  2. One is Scum, on is PFK/3rd parties
Still a good idea to lynch them

  3. One is Town, one is PFK/3rd parties
Again I think that deal would be in Town’s best interest right now

No question. This one best come back as anti-town or the rope will get mighty short for OAOW.

Vote Tom Scud

I never said that I KNEW Peeker was scum. All I said was, “I’m getting a strong feeling that Peeker is scum, but nothing I can make a case on”

And that was based purely on him playing the game sanely and making coherent posts. I can’t really call him out on that. But, I like to let Story know what I"m thinking when I tell him my actions. We’ve been over this.

I did have enough suspicion on Telcontar to vote for him - which is why I did.

If you are amazed by this, then I guess you are easily amazed.

And, in light of all that, you are voting for me because you found my claim “just a little off”? Because I want people to believe that I’m not scum?

Truly, yours is a dizzying intelect.
