Evil Dead Mafia II - Teaser and Sign-Ups [Game On!]

Sorry for the coding error.

vote Telcontar

Jeez, I thought I was doing so good! I was positive nobody even suspected me!

Dear town: your days are numbered. Enjoy this shallow victory!

Incidentally…

Supposing that, for whatever reason, the player population as a whole felt that a given Day should be shortened, I am OK with that. I’m inventing an ad hoc mechanism to deal with it, in fact.

Should any player decide that he wants his/her vote to be permanent, please signify same by casting a vote thusly:

Final Vote Storyteller0910.

Once you do this, you may not change your vote until after Dusk of the Day on which the vote is cast.

Should there ever come a time when more than half of the Town has final votes active on a single player, the Day will end 24 hours following the time stamp of the final vote that exceeds this threshold.

Thanks!

All is well in mafia land. I was not attacked a second time? I’m disappointed. I had so much fun the first night. Admittedly, there’s no arguing the outcome.

vote: Telcontar

Nicely done, Idle.

Works for me – I don’t want to stifle conversation, but “foregone conclusion” days like this have a habit of developing bad theories if they go on too long. It’ll likely take a day to hit the halfway mark, and then another 24 hours to take effect. That’s plenty of time to cover other business, so I’m fine with locking my vote in.

Final Vote Telcontar

Can we have a live player list?

Double thanks and a snicker if it was a serial killer.

Incidentally, grave robber, if it’s similar to what I just saw in another game going by the same name, is a FABULOUS role, and I feel really bad for Rysto that he didn’t get to live longer with it.

Neat.

So, my thinking is that if we are going to unanimously (or near unanimously) lynch Telcontar then we should try to end the Day as soon as possible and just move on to the next round. It will be a low information lynch so we should just get it out of the way and move on.

If we know that a vig is around and they are willing to use their power on Telcontar, that might actually be the better way to go (see my argument for why vigging me was better than lynching to see why I think this way.) My only problem with that is, we don’t know that it will work and we run the risk of having to deal with Telcontar tomorrow also. The upside is we get to have a legitimate lynch toDay and so get a bit more information out of the round. It’s still early enough in the game that information gathering is at a premium.

My gut says go with the lynch and hurry and my head says go with the vig that is obviously out there.

I haven’t decided if I want to actually place a final vote yet. I am going to wait until we get an official vote count and **an updated player list.
**

I feel like we should try to get even more out of this. We really do have quite a lot that needs to be looked at:

– peeker’s interactions (probably not much, and I know there was some discussion of it last night already, but still)
– astral’s interactions
– Telcontar’s interactions (technically jumping the gun, but still – idle’s role description leaves little room for shenanigans)
– the day one bandwagons, which included several votes on telcontar
– day two some more, of course
– whatever else I’m not thinking of

It’s not often that so much information on the scum team is dumped in the town’s laps all at once – seems silly to perhaps waste the opportunity. I’ll support an early day end once these things have gotten due diligence or are in progress, but not before.

As for the vig, I’m the opposite of NAF. My heart says let the vig do it. My head is the part getting in the way saying how much birds are better in the hand and what could Telcontar do tonight and blah-di-blah.

I’m inclined to lynch Telcontar and speed the Day along, but will hold off with a final vote until we get more of a consensus either way.

It just seems to be the safer bet than trying to coordinate with a vig without potentially exposing them, and if they’re responsible for Astral, they would seem to be doing just fine on their own in their seclusion.

I think we need to pause just a bit before we move forward with an early lynch.

For one thing, we need to ask the question “Is there a reasonable possibility that Idle was somehow misled, and that Telcontar is really Town?” Idle had been open in his suspicion that Telcontar was Scummy, so it’s possible that if the Scum have someone with the ability to ‘fool’ Idle’s powers, they might have used that. It’s conceivable that Astral’s ‘Trickster’ ability might have done something like this. He could have been some sort of Bus Driver or Alignment Switcher.

Personally, I think the answer to my question is “No”, based on Idle’s power being “touch based” rather than “investigative”, and the fact that his death implies he did in fact touch a Deadite. But I felt the question should be out there for discussion before we string up Telcontar too hastily.

There also might be something to gain from further discussion of previous Day’s events, as Normal pointed out. If we can find another strong suspect, that would give a potential Vig a good target for Tonight. And there’s also the possibility that another Scum might give themselves away Today as well.

Additional discussion is generally in the Town’s favor. Bringing a near-immediate halt to the Day would seem to favor Scum, because they will have an easier time hiding until Nightfall.

We have no idea what he could do, but it sure stands to reason that he could do something that we’re not going to like. I say we off him at dusk and not give him a chance for any shenanigans.

It should be pointed out that the fact that a Scum was Night-killed doesn’t necessarily mean they were killed by a Town Vig. It’s just as likely that it was a PFK Serial Killer that did the deed. I don’t know that it affects Town strategy too much at this point, but we shouldn’t make too many assumptions…

Which is why I said “if they’re responsible for Astral”.

I knew there was another item I was going to comment on…

I don’t think we should wait and let a Vig/SK kill Telcontar Tonight. He should be lynched Today. There are too many possibilities for a Night Kill to go astray, and even if it doesn’t, it allows Telcontar one more opportunity to use any power he might have.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that if there is a Town Day killer out there, that this would be an ideal use of your powers.

If there is.

Just saying.

I am bad at vote record analysis but it seems to me that lilflower looks fairly bad based on voting records out of context. Not that voting records are the be all and end all, but lilflower in has a third vote against a townie (Day 1 2.0), and opportunistic bandwagon votes on trains going against a scum lynch (same vote as above and Day 2 vote for Idle late in the Day). She is the only person that jumped right out at me.

That’s not reason enough to vote for her yet, but I wanted to put that out there. Anyone else see anything in the vote records?

In fact if there is a Day vigilante: fire away in case Telcontar is holding the Book of the Dead.

NETA: if not is

Or what NAF said.

Wow, bloody Night indeed.

Final vote Telcontar

I don’t think there is any reason to wait.
