Evil Dead Mafia II - Teaser and Sign-Ups [Game On!]

I am a she, Plankton.

Drain, OK if I answer this?

Um, Oy…why would you need to ask DB’s permission to answer a question put to you?

Oh, I thought you meant really confirmable. A pity. I’d like to absolutely confirm him. Or not. Yeah, I suppose a scummy me could do that, but I doubt I’d have the guts, to be perfectly honest. Maybe, if the rest of the scum were egging me on, I would. I guess I’ll never know.

My apologies…I thought I saw upthread that you said you here a “he”.

I do wonder why you are asking Drain for permission to answer my question, though. Ultimately, I’m wondering what the justification is for your action, so it seems only logical that you should answer, assuming you feel like doing so. Why are you asking someone else if it’s OK?

Who are you trying to get insight into by asking this question, SP?

By the way, doing this review of your posts is about killing me. I hate this sort of thing so verrah, verrah much.

Because I hate the idea of drawing yet more attention to the idea that Drain is a power role. BUt I guess she thinks it’s OK since she admitted I gave her the Flower.

Basically, I believed your reasoning, NAF, except I went one further with it. I think Scum would also have known that the vanilla roles were varied because I think Story almost certainly gave them an unused vanilla role as cover (at least, that’s what Mahaloth did in Harry Potter and LotR). So I concluded that the only people who would find my non-vanilla slip to be plausibly vanilla were Town Power roles.

I may or may not be a power role. NAF may or may not have been operating under a mistaken assumption. The cat in the box may or may not be alive. Or it might be both.

I’m trying to gain insight into Oy’s thought process, and possible to confirm Drain Bead as Town.

I think that Oy giving the flower to Drain on Night 1 was not a smart move. Even if it is proven that Drain is Town, I still think it was not a smart move, given the information that was available at the time. I don’t think that there was sufficient evidence pointing to Drain being Town to warrant her being given the flower on Night 1.

Oy apparently thought there was more evidence than I did. I’d like to know her reasoning behind that. If it’s sound, then it moves Drain into the ‘Confirmed Town’ pool for me. If it’s unsound, then I continue to think that Oy made a ‘bad play’, but otherwise it’s a null tell.

But the point is, Drain pretty much understood my reasoning when she received the Flower, because she could read what NAF had said, and she understood that I am a newbie who was likely to be influenced by what NAF had said.

You may well be right. For all I know, Drain is Scum. I don’t think so, but then she’s been nice to me, and I know I’m a little influenced by that.

I want to make sure I’m understanding you properly here, because you address two different questions in this port:

You concluded that Drain Bead was Town because she believed (after your ‘slip’) that you might have been Vanilla, and the only people who would have believed that would be Town Power roles.

Is that correct?

There’s nothing that Oy! can say that will confirm me, as far as I can see. I am as certain as one can be without an investigation that Oy! is Town, but that’s because I have the knowledge that I am Town, which others won’t have. But it’s worth me saying what I know in order to make sure that people realize that Oy! is for real. This doesn’t really do much to confirm me, though, so don’t bother trying.

Not a bad thought, but Peek’s existence as scum sort of invalidates it. I like where you were going though.

Yes, that’s correct. And, NAF, I don’t think peeker counts, because peeker is peeker. Besides, night one, I had no idea that peeker was Scum. In fact, I didn’t think he was Scum until he flipped after being lynched. I can’t read him; he’s too bizarre for me to follow. I know Plankton thinks he’s perfectly understandable (I think it was you in the LotR spoiled thread who said that), but I can’t follow him at all.

What this boils down to, from my perspective, is that you’re willing to be sweet-talked into believing that someone is town, which is a load of bull horse pucky as far as an actual and whole Confirmed Town pool is concerned. You do not get confirmed players that way.

That was me.

NETA: I meant the supposed Drain Bead quote you cited, NAF. Why couldn’t they leave nested quotes alone?

Sometimes, I really like you. Want to trade magic bags?

I don’t think Plankton is willing to be sweet-talked. I’m the one who was willing to be sweet-talked. Plankton was willing to be convinced.

Oh Sonofa…

Sorry, I promise to actually look at who I am attributing quotes to from now on.
