Fall into a MMP

That one one 'ell of a ride on Bessie before work today, eh? Did you have it brought in for you; I thought they were only a Canadian thing; do they have any in this country?
I watched the news & Jimmy Kimmel - Wow! He was not only choking back tears during the monologue, you could tell by his eyes that he had been crying beforehand; that’s not “professional”, it really was from the heart.

Then I passed out on the sofa; woke up to some infomercial at 3am-ish. Got up & went to bed & something hit me, I could not breathe. All of a sudden I was all stuffed-up. Do you think I’m allergic to my bed?

P.S. The crazy old guy is talking to himself, again.

We have one down near Little Washington and the person who brought them lives that way. And there are a ton of locations along the Ohio border. Me and Bessie have made the run to the Youngstown/Austintown one several times. Filthydelphia even has one according to their locator at 3601 S Broad St so break out your passport and give them a visit!

Other than that getting ready to putter some. Got most of my packing done for the weekend.

Da cave is spiffed, laundy is done and I rescued my dish from the church house. Go Me! Now it’s chill time.

Some of us are doing important things and don’t have time for silly posts. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yep, busy morning. But now it’s lunch time, so YAY!!!

Afternoon all.

There is always time for silly posts.

The landlord just came round to look at the explody oven; looks like he’ll be replacing it with a shiny new one, probably on Firday, which is nice. He wanted to get it all done before he goes on holiday.

Nut glad oven will be replaced.

Happy Toosday.

Also blurf.

Iffn he was replacing it today I’d ask to have it because about the only negative thing not to happen to me today is to end up with my head into an explody oven. This day is so sucky that I can’t even get that accomplished. :frowning:

It cloudy and windy and half cool/half hoomid. We need rain. haven’t had any in 6 weeks, so hopefully Mother Nature has seen our rain dance. Miss A. gets her horsey bodywork tonight. Why yes, she is Pampered Pony! I called the cat Ariel last night…

Spidey I know what you mean. :frowning: I hope your day improves.

I have my car and at the original terms. So a happy outcome for me.

Now that the aggravation is over, I suppose I’m even a little glad for it in retrospect. If I hadn’t gotten any pushback from the dealer, I would suspect I had overpaid. The fact that they tried to walk back from the deal makes me feel more confident that it was a good deal.

Yeah, Nemo! So no aggravation about buying a car for 8-10 years.

Spidey, I’d offer hugs, but being that it’s you, a simple manly “take care, bro” will be as far as I’m willing to go…

Wet one. just got a call from my utilities about my water bill being much higher. Yeah, when it’s dry for several weeks and I put several hours of lawn watering on the bill, it does that…

Nut, glad oven will not be explody; or at least one can hope…

Nappage completed and need to get dressed for soccer practice and see how much my 8-9 year old boys’ team can raise my blood pressure today.

()*&%^% I’ve gotten 4-5 calls today about Medicare. I am not enrolled yet, and with Blue Cross-Blue Shield coverage I don’t know if I want it, but what is with all the calls wanting to talk to me about it? My 65th B-day is not until next April!?!?!

Guess I’ll need to research it some.

But not by listening to phone solicitors…

**MetalMouse **- I’m going to have problems when I hit Medicare age because **FCD **is 3 years younger than I am and my insurance is his. Ergo, I’m going to have to keep carrying BC/BS for those 3 years. At over $500/month, it doth well and truly suck!

We have a nice concrete pad - yay! PJ will come back tomorrow to remove the forms and grade the yard to meet the pad more gradually - right now there’s a fairly big drop. I wish we’d done this year ago!

We’re going out to supper, but we haven’t decided where.

At least. The car I just traded in was a 2006 Camry. Those Toyotas will run forever.

Burgers, fixin’s and fries have been consumed. I even made a peach cobbler. That will be ingested in a while when everything else settles down.

Nuts yay for new stove!

Nemo yay for good vehicle outcome!

Spidey hope your day has gotten a little better. A beerverage or three this evenin’ is prescribed.

I spent half of today (and will spend all of tomorrow) in an insurance basics class. My takeaway for today is that American health insurance is overly complicated bs. I may be able to be more nuanced about the various ways its bs tomorrow.

Got hold of the Balrog* at the badge office and I have an appointment to get my new badge on Thursday. Hopefully that means only one more day of tagging along behind people who got their badges already.

I had lunch with a couple of other people in the class today. Or rather, we all ate at the same table while they checked their phones. One reason why I don’t have a smartphone yet. I don’t want to be that asshole.

*Not her real name but very close.

I talked with sis earlier today. She called because she had a dream where she was lying on the love seat in her livin’ room and her daughter was lying on the sofa in the livin’ room. I came walkin’ through the livin’ room and said I’d be back in a while. At some point I showed up again and told sis I needed to talk with her so we went to the front porch a usual place for us to sit and talk when it’s nice out. My next to oldest brother and his wife showed up with a baby and told us it was Jessie’s (the great niece who was married in August and NOT pregnant) and that the baby had been born an hour ago and they wanted to show us the new baby which sis said was actually a doll so we didn’t talk. Sis woke up and she was on the love seat in the livin’ room and her daughter was on the sofa.

I asked her if she liked her new meds.

Yay for the new oven nut!

Yay for bringing home the new car nemo! Out of curiosity, what model and color did you get? I’ll be shopping Toyota dealerships in another year and a half myself, so I’m checking out the pros and cons of the different compact models.

Irk was irksome, but productive. Getting stuff pulled out for the trip north this weekend. I have to figure out the puppy’s new playpen and a few other things. I have a feeling that packing for him will take longer than packing for me. :stuck_out_tongue:

**FCD **had stayed home all day and he had a bit of cabin fever, so we went out to supper. Leonardtown Grille is good, but a bit pricey. I got the tuna steak dinner - sooooooo good! And I’s stuffded!

The rest of the night shall be chillage. Thus endeth Tuesday at FairyChatEstates!

I got a 2017 Rav4 LE (which I assume is not a model you’re looking at). It’s a good time of year to be buying them because the 2018 models are coming out and last year’s cars don’t age like fine wine. I went around to all the area dealerships getting offers. My experience is that the smaller dealerships are usually a little more anxious to make the sale. I figure a big dealership work the numbers but a smaller dealership will feel the difference of a single sale.

It’s red. I think it’s the exact same color as the car I traded in (I didn’t park them next to each other to check but it looks the same and they’re both Toyotas). I don’t have any strong preferences on color. If the price had been the same, I would have chosen a darker shade. And I would have avoided white or “storm blue” unless I got a good deal. Red’s in the middle of my preference list.
