Falling Into The MMP

I looked up the ingrediants of the ones I take. Luden’s should be safe unless he chokes on one. The generic brand has menthol which dogs shouldn’t have but it won’t kill him.
I just can’'t believe he is crazy for them.
He can be sound asleep, I will slowly and silently open the wrapper, and he is right at my feet begging for one.

Not too impressed with the clothesline. The lines are too close together so the stuff in the middle didn’t dry too well. Is okay though, I don’t use fabric softener, so I planned on throwing everything in the dryer with a lambs wool ball for 5 or 10 minutes anyway.

I should just use the neighbor’s clothes line.

I got the pantry and the spice cabinet cleaned out today.
I’ll clean out the fridge tomorrow since the trash goes out. Not much to do in there since I clean it out every Sunday anyway.

Since there was no mail today Ripple is earning treats by crushing the water bottles in the recycling bin and bringing them to me. Now I have a stack of crushed bottles I have to put back into the bin.

Much errands today but much accomplished. Have plans to go see a modern bad horror movie tomorrow set in a bad horror-themed amusement park. Sounds like one I could end up owning a copy of next month.

Good evening all.

Day was wearing, started with me waking up at 5:30am, then coaching soccer at 8am (6-year old girls won), coaching at 10:30 (boys lost 2-4), refereeing a game (4-2 final), then driving about 32 miles to coach my 12U girl’s team (lost 2-4…seems to be a pattern today.). Temperature topped out at 86F, need to speak to the management about leaving the heat on too late in the year…

So pretty beat when I got home, took a bath in the new tub and then napped. Need to get some food here shortly.

Sari, sounds like the pooch has rather definite opinions on his diet. And Sah-son can learn to be a little assertive–sounds like his group is either (1) just as shy as he is (2) hoping somebody else does the work or (3) just hoping somebody else tells them what to do.

Midget, get well soon!

swampy, lazy Saturdays can be nice; I still have 4-5 weeks of soccer to go before I re-enounter them. And enjoy the committee work; Nava can give you tips on how to survive them…

nightshade (what is you MMP name?), never make a bureaucrat grumpy by forgetting paperwork; you won’t like them when they’re grumpy.

Butters, hope the new girl enjoys the job and gets along with everyone, so you don’t have to work a crazy schedule.

red, glad the dealership got things working and Nelson got his running in.

Nut, enjoy the 3-day break.

FCM, did you achieve nappage today? Sounds like you could have used one.

And…If I missed anyone, assorted hugs, sad faces, happy faces, and other terms of endearment to any and all.

Now I need to put some food in my belly…

Breakfast for supper. It will get us by until the next one. We had off and on rain today with more predicted and I hope it comes to pass. All night and all day tomorrow. Lurves me some on the metal roof.

New windows are ordered and shall take 4 weeks to arrive plus the screen porch will be screened this coming week. When Irma was coming through last year we cut the screen per instructions from the screen guy. This is to create less resistance. Makes sense to me.

MetalMouse you write the nicest posts. Get will all you sickies and Rosie’s Sig

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy (well, dark) with a predicted high of ONLY 87 (BRRR!) and a sixty percent chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse accordin’ to TWPTB. We shall see. Did rain for quite a while yestiddy evenin’ as it was rainin’ when we went sleepy bye. Today’s agenda includes deheathenization (with the Luteruns), gettin’ some shrimpies and scallops from the Pubic Sto’ for N.O.L. and, of course, the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig volunteer meetin’. I foresee nappage this afternoon, as well.

Red if we’d had a bet on Notre Dame last year I would have won. :stuck_out_tongue: Also, glad the dealership got the problem fixed.

Butters yay for new person workin’ out. Yay also for new windows and screen porch. I need to get my back porch re-screened. Mayhaps next year.

Sari Ripple has done a good job of trainin you.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Much as I hate to do it, I’ve got to make a Dr appt for my left leg. the muscles that attach at the knee on the inside of the leg feel bruised, and they seem to seize up if I sit for any amount of time. I’ve tried stretching and massage and various other things, but it’s just getting worse. I thought at first it was the way I sat in the office, but now, I’m thinking there may be something else going on. So it’s time to call in the pros. Dammit.

Today’s big plan is cleaning/organizing the pantry. With two extra people putting their stuff in there, it’s become less organized and more random. So daughter and I will set it up to work better. I hope. There will also be a bit of a come-to-Jesus meeting about their sloppiness. I can’t believe I’ve got to broach that topic with 30-somethings. Why do you leave two empty soda cups on the sink no more than 2 feet from the trash can??? :smack:

Other than that, nothing much going on, I hope. Happy Sunday!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Watching the Russian Grand Prix right now. The it’s free hockey at [(and the Booster Club gets a suite for the game:)) And I’ll be on the [ul=http://sportstalk1240.com/]radio](]The Caniac Carnival) tonight between 8-10 ,to talk hockey. For 5 minutes or so.

 But I have to take the recycling out every day, or Gordie will fish all the empty beer cans out of the bin.

FCM, I bet it’s scurvy.

Glad you have a diagnosis, Midget. Take your meds, and feel better!

I had fried chicken for breakfast. The local convenience store that makes the good fried chicken finally reopened after the hurricane. This is the first fried chicken I’ve had in over a year. Yay for fried chicken.

The plan for the day is a mystery thus far. Since I only have one day off I need to do laundry and stuff but since I only have this day off I need rest and sloth. We shall see which wins. I am going to try for another day off later in the week.

Up, breakfasting and caffeinating. No big plans for the day except the usual Sunday chores.

Happy Sunday!

Well, I’m up. Laid in bed for 40 minutes, fully awake but with no wish to move; upper legs are like rock, very much happy to stay in the same place. Finally picked myself out of bed, now got to work up the ambition to get dressed and obtain sustenance.

Weekly weather in N. Ali-bama is mid-80’s and mostly sunny, so the start of October sounds a lot like the end of September. Still haven’t had to take my jacket off the hook.

FCM, it’s a pain going to the doctor, but best take care of it now before you go retiring again, hopefully it’s something they can take care of without surgery. And as for the 30-somethings being messy, you really, really don’t want to visit my house…

swampy, just remember; meeting first, then nappage (I personally always got the two mixed up…)

Just hope it’s not Lupus!! :stuck_out_tongue:

We went to Denny’s for breakfast, then to Lowe’s because **FCD **needed some stuff. Daughter is making slow-cooker N.O.T. soup for supper and when she’s done, we’ll attack the pantry. So I’ve got a little time to kill.

Howdy Y’all! We deheatenated, picked up shrimpies ‘n scallops and are now in da cave. N.O.L. is bein’ prepared for me as I post. I’m told pan seared scallops, shrimpies (already steamed), hash brown casserole and a homemade green bean casserole are on the menu. I feel so special!

Butters a tweet on It’s A Southern Thing stated, “would you buy fried chikin from a gas station?”. The best answer… “Does the Baptist church have a bus?”

MetalMouse this is a meetin’ of Whiskypalians so there will be coffee. No worries.

I am apparently just full of  today.

Make a list of folks to bite, in case it is rabies.

Happy Sunday!

Another N.O.S. not too hot not too cold day.

I slept until almost 8 today. I went to bed shortly after 9 last night but I woke in the middle of the night and had trouble falling back to sleep. Crying cat, bratty dog, noisy son.

Been puttering around all morning, a little of this and a little of that getting things done. What I love about it is that it is relaxing and not rushed. What I hate is that I am getting stuff done but the house doesn’t look any better. Since it is the end of summer I went through my summer shirts and pulled out some to throw away and some to donate. Later today I will go through my shorts, I realized yesterday that the shorts I was wearing were well over 10 years old. I think it’s okay to throw them away without feeling guilty.
I have Hoarders on the TV, always an inspiration to get rid of stuff.

Good luck with the 30 somethings FCM. I have no problem with my son putting stuff in the trash, recycling is another story. Every morning I get up to a row of empty water bottles on the table. The indoor recycling box is behind the table, he could drop them right in it. He started it when he was using the bottles to keep the cat off the table, but the cat doesn’t get on the table since I moved his food aross the room. Of course, if he puts the bottles in the box, Ripple pulls them out to crush them. Then I have to pick them up, unless he brings them to me for a treat.
Ripple takes his job as a trash compactor very seriously. If only he would learn to put the bottles back into the box after he crushes them.

Just an FYI, if you have pets never buy a black rug. My rug isn’t all black, there is some cream and gold in it, but if I don’t vacuum at least once a day it looks awful.

*Don’t forget your meeting Swampy!
*

Moooom, hope you can get your leg looked at, and that it’ll be easy to fix.

Sari, I know what it’s like to have pet hair all over things. I once had a black hat that a cat turned white with his hair.

My carpet is taupe, the sofa is ivory, and Ursala Kitteh is black. Enuf said.

Had to have the thermostat replaced today. It read 78 when I got up, then progressively fell to 63. Now the new thermostat says 74 which is correct because the tech verified it with his fancy schmancy device.

My roomie and I have an AirBNB guest over. I apologized to him this morning for making such a racket last night with my coughing, and I told him I had bronchitis. He said it was okay. Plot twist - it turns out he has bronchitis too! Wow. Poor guy.
I don’t think I gave him my bronchitis, although I was scared to ask. But he didn’t seem angry at me. I offered him some of my tea if he wants some.

My knee feels better this evening. Dunno if it’s because I walked a bit this morning (Lowe’s restrooms are waaaaaay in the back) or the ibuprofen I took with breakfast or that I’ve been semi-active today. Maybe that’s the trick - I need to get up every so often and walk…

The pantry is organized and we threw out a bunch of really old stuff that I didn’t realize was really old. So there’s space, which is good.

Daughter’s soup was pretty good - lots richer than my recipe. Now I get to do the dishes. rah.

Thus endeth the weekend.

Howdy Y’all! I made it to the meetin’ which, as meetin’s go was not so bad. Lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes so I was back at da cave by two-thirty. Nappage then ensued. I’ve had a sammich and have hauled the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Been rainy off and on but not a whole lot of rain. We could use more.

MOOOOOOM hope the hurt is not too serious but remember, at our age, stuff just decides to hurt.

Rode Ariel this afternoon, just a short ride. Dinner is Sandra Lee’s Semi Homemade Chicken Pot Pie which involves whack on the counter buttermilk bizkits. Twirl be nummy. Watching the Doctor Who marathon tonight.
