Tomorrow the rest of the way to our new town of Antioch. It’s oak savannah and rolling hills, and hotter than I like, but it’s got family. Thursday (I hope) I fly to Florida and back to get my puppy. Squee!

Summer/Fall continues. The big plan of the day is laundry. Rah. I shall grill a poke tenderloin for suppage. Side matter TBD.

My appointment yesterday was a bust. Apparently sleep medicine doctors only care if you’re sleepy, not *fatigued *. Plus, I felt like I was much more prepared for the appointment than he was. I was asking questions and he was looking at the sleep study from the year before (not the current one), etc. I was very grouchy when I got done.
But today is another day, right?
ETA: And I cant get my classroom in order because my little friend keeps getting into everything and tearing everything off the walls so we always have to keep hiding things in different places and then we forget where they are!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Today is my Firday. And hockey on the TV tonight.

I am finally sleeping through the night, but the alarm goes off way too early.
I have no idea what is going on with the weather today. I have no intention of doing anything but irk and sleep today, so outside won’t matter.
Morning all. Rain today and rain tomorrow is the forecast, so soccer practices are probably going to be cancelled. Still it is cooler, so there is that.
Don’t know who/if anyone will be here to work on thew house, so I guess I should be proactive and get dressed…

Late night at Da Jungle; after several weeks of 3 and outs we had late trucks. TPTB sent some people home at break but kept about 30 of us to handle them. While we waited I was stuck in the oversized and heavy department. The trucks arrived and I got pulled to empty them and --------- realized that out of 30 there were basically 8 of us left. Everyone else had done a “peace out” to go home and watch the game. I didn’t get home until midnight. :smack: Yet another reason for me to hate the Steelers.

The only thing worse than boring meetings is boring meetings where you don’t know what the heck people are talking about (I know it in vague terms but just don’t have enough background information to truly comprehend anything) and to which you can’t contribute jackshit. For a specific axis of “worse”, that is. I think bad things are like straight lines: they all tend to the same infinity but in different directions. I’m so bored I’m starting to hallucinate
Had a day of Organising and Tidying Things, or at least attempting to do so, catching up on washing and shopping and checking bees and stuff, 'twixt holidayss and skool.
Skool finally starts back up tomorrow, after being off since May, which feels like forever ago. They’re apparently having a Fresher’s Fair, but I’m on the committee of the sole student society, and we found out, erm, today. Oh, and everyone on the committee is supposed to be doing first day back stuff, so I have no idea how this is going to work out. Barely organised chaos, I suspect.
I’ve still got a rotten cough, but so does almost everyone else here in the You-Kay, so I don’t feel like I’m standing out so much as I did in Italy. It’s finally getting a bit better, but it’s been over a week. Bored of it.
Nava, I’m totally with you on that. I’m still learning about my machine lines, so I’m probably supposed to know most of what’s going on in some of my meetings, but damned if I do.
It’s going to be in the mid 70s today, so we’re opening up the house to get some fresh, warm air. But it’s going to be raining and in the mid 70s… so we’re back to adding humidity to the air. Come on, Furnace Friday!
Oh and on positive news, yesterday I checked whether Rakuten (wuaki) exists in France and:
- they do,
- they were happy to accept the same username and password I have for them in Spain,
- although redirecting me to the French site
- and “duplicating” the account. I now exist in their system with a Spanish account that’s got the prepaid access and a French account which doesn’t, both with the same username and password.
Definitely much better than most other streaming companies including The Jungle (which does manage to work but has personality and password problems).

I slept in a bed last night instead of sleeping on the floor, which I have been doing for 2 weeks or so. It was meh. I expected it to be awesome. I had built it up to a joyous reunion in my mind.
