Favorite Song Du Jour.

My favorite song lately is *Earl Must Die * by the Dixie Chicks.

That what does not kill me, postpones the inevitable.

Mine is I Try by Macy Gray.

Sex Bomb by Tom Jones

Try not to have a good time…this is supposed to be educational.

Pop Goes the Weasel, Mr. Rogers

My current favourite song? Very difficult, since I almost never listen to the radio. Well, my favourite band du jour (besides Rush, naturally) is the Tea Party, so I’ll go with Sister Awake or Heaven coming down.

A little ditty by a band called King Missile. The Song is called “The Indians.” Here’s the lyrics (they are spoken):

The Indians lived all over this land before we came and killed them.
That was very bad of us.
We thought we needed the the land,
But for the most part,
We just ruined it anyway,
And now, nobody can use it.
That’s the way we are.
We’re pigs.

The “We’re pigs” part ends every verse. It’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long, long, time.

“I go on guilt trips a couple of time a year. Mom books them for me.” A custom made Wally .sig!

My iguana's sick.
He's all floppy. Could he have
Reptile dysfunction?
                  -Chef Troy, Haiku Master

That’s just the first verse. There’s more to the song, explaining why “That’s the way we are: we’re pigs.”

Don’t tell KarmaComa, but it’s Sleep Now in the Fire by Rage Against the Machine.

can’t get enough of Goodbye Earl - what a catchy tune!

I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe.

Kiss Off, by the Violent Femmes.

That’s today. Yesterday was The Lady Is A Tramp, sung by Ella Fitzgerald.

Today it’s, Rebirth of Slick, Digable Planets. CD rummaging this morning…

I have chainmail underwear.

As of 9:00 AM, that sound would be What If by Creed. The louder, the better, too.

The more I teaches you, the dumber you gets.

Hmmmm…right now mine would be Sin Wagon by the Dixie Chicks.

“Don’t know where I’ll be crashing, but I’m taking my turn on the Sin Wagon.”

Environment? Nah. Mood lighting and ambience is what counts.

*Not gonna tangle with you, I’d rather tangle with him. I’m gonna bash his head in. This doesn’t concern you except that just don’t expect to get your bloody black back-pack baaaaaackkk!!!"

It would make me feel better, for some reason, if you would all use the power of your imaginations to envision the above post in italics. Thank you.

Maybe “No Leaf Clover”, Metallica, although thats been out for a while.

or the new Pearl Jam one “Nothing as it Seems”. Can’t wait for that new album.

Or Carl Thomas’ “I Wish”.

“I am so smart, I am so smart, s-m-r-t, i mean s-m-a-r-t”

oh I thought of a few more…

“Pardon Me” by Incubus

“Everything” by Vertical Horizon

and this song by Eight Stops Seven

I wonder if anyone knows the name of it…or if that is the right band name??

and the new Creed song, “With arms wide open”

and i sorta like the new Bush song “Letting the Cables Sleep”

“I am so smart, I am so smart, s-m-r-t, i mean s-m-a-r-t”

That song is very, very good. Every time I hear it, I can’t help but think of Mr. Cynical Jr., and how it applies to what I have to say to him when he finally arrives. True. True.
