OK, phone appointment tomorrow. I think in-person is preferable, but will take whatever gets me a conversation with a doctor ASAP. Don’t know whether they need to adjust my dosage or switch meds, but the dizziness and fatigue side effects are making it very difficult for me to do much of anything around the house, let alone look for a job.
58f and sunny here.

I told you I fixed the leak in the irrigation system in the back yard yesterday. Afterwards I had to sit on the couch with an ice pack on my lower back and a warm puppy next to me for an hour. I’m debating tackling the leak in the front yard today. It’ll be worse and involve digging a rather large hole and gluing things together. I’m guessing at least 3 hours. Don wanna.
Wish I could come help, at least as much as a frequently achy back would allow.
Today got up to 25 C / 77 F and tomorrow’s forecast is for warmer. And still dry.
Got to try French tacos today. Pretty yummy and convenient. We’ll definitely be going back.
Long day and should call it a Tuesday. Stay safe!
And here’s some more {{{{{{{{ tackle }}}}}}}}.
Plenty more where those came from.
Do you have Nextdoor in your area? When we want someone to do a couple of hours of heavy labor, we put an ad there and usually have someone wanting to come out right away.
Your “hired hand” can dig the hole, you can glue things together and your hired hand can fill the hole back up for you.
If you are thinking about the Tom and Jerry cartoons where they peel out in panic but don’t move? Yep, that’s our boy, LOL!
Make some big, bright signs for your car that say “Student Driver”. (My fav one said STUDENT DRIVER please pray for me.) Folks will give your extremely embarrassed offspring a bunch of room lest they get hit by a flustered kid.
You are so right! That’s what I was muttering to myself as I was putting the sheets back in the washing machine. “This is all MY fault because I’m the dumbass who left it sitting there!”
That’s what I wanted too, but I was still too heart broken to risk another shelter cat.
It makes a lot of sense, giant breeds heavier bones to support their larger bodies. It’s always so sad when critters are damaged by mistreatment. I’ve never understood why people got pets to neglect or worse.
GG is all worn out today. Old crabby cat has been talking shit to him through the baby gate so GG is afraid to hang out in that part of the house.
It’s a little cooler here today, in the low 90’s. That doesn’t mean I’m inspired to go outside. I’m almost finished the third border in my piece, I don’t want to start the 4th side because I want something mindless to do at the needlework convention.
Afternoon all. Carpet has been restored to it’s correct space and the work has been paid for, so I cycled 10 miles (stationary bike at the gym) to celebrate. May go back this evening and do another 10…or not.
Yeah, exactly, along with the havoc created…
{{{{{Seanette}}}}}. Hope the Doctoring by phone helps you.
There are worse situations. {{Hugs}} and thinking only positive waves at ya.‘’
Good luck with the driving practice, talkie. My mom took me out once, she had heard that cemeteries were good spots for a new driver to practice, since there is usually very little traffic…but there are very narrow dirt roads and unexpected turns…don’t think we tried that again…
OK, some TV to watch here in a little bit, then start thinking about dinner. All y’all take care.
JtC, do they make floor lamps with concrete bases? ![]()
You had some beautiful kittehs wheelie.
I feel your pain BooFae. I live between 2022 CMA Festr and Bonnaroo that overlap in June. I plan on going nowhere that requires getting on I24 this month.

Glad you’re still alive and keeping cool shoe.
Irked, came home in 101F heat, walked Nelson and et (such excitement). KP and the studio are on tap for the evening.
Stay safe and healthy y’all!
Howdy Y’all! We’ve had two and a half hours of big time rain this afternoon. The temp has cooled down to the mid 70’s but ‘tis still very hyooomid out. We sat out on the back porch watchin’ the rain and day drinkin’. Sup got cooked and et as well. All in all not a bad day here in south Jawja. Tomorrow shall be unogly hawt again, but for now, we enjoy the relatively pleasant weather.
96 with a heat index of 105. Went to the barn to hose off Ariel and chat with barn friends. Home now eating a salad with caesar dressing. I guess that makes it a Caesar sallit.
Yeah, Coolio is getting a workout. I’m trying to figure out some dinner (it is NOT coming from that place) and getting this depression nest cleaned the
up.
My sister finally got the autopsy report on her son’s death. It was a combination of alcohol and cardiovascular disease. He had an enlarged heart and a couple of other issues, in addition to the high blood alcohol level. According to my sister, he’d been having fatigue, high blood pressure, and some other symptoms, but he never got around to seeing a doctor. So let that be a lesson to all of us.
FCD and I were relieved that it wasn’t indicative of suicide or substance abuse. That would have been really hard on my sister and BIL. So now we know.
Still gotta be so hard to lose a child no matter the cause. But I’m glad too it was a medical condition and not suicide/drug use.
I met the kids today. Five little ones under the age of eight. Cute kids but I couldn’t do it. Not now and not even back in the day.
Hot here too but it’s expected. Crazy weather all over.
Stay cool everyone.
SWMBO rented a pressure washer today, and we cleaned the deck and t e driveway. Unfortunately in an instance of cerebral flatulence, I laid my hand on the muffler as I was shutting the machine down. Got a blister or two tout de suite. Wifey, RN gave me some Silvadene, and then wrapped my hand and fingers. The good news is that my hand feels fine now. The bad news is that SWMBO, RN has forbidden me from removing the bandage until morning.
It’s hard to type.
I have a frozen pot pie in the oven, and an OMG about what y’all are dealing with.
That is my best, at this point.
So now it will only be ho to, and not obscenly hot this week. Yay?

Sort of a taco version of Primanti Brothers Yum.

Evening all. Pedaled another 10 miles at the gym on a different stationary bike (one is configured like a regular bike and the later one the pedals are out in front) and burned some more calories, so of course have drank much Pepsi to replace them, but still feel pretty good. Will have to do some mowage tomorrow and Thorsday, hopefully either late or early before the real heat gets here.
That’ll do, shoe; that’ll do…
flyboy, listen to the RN. And Ouch!!
Butters, yeah, five little ones like that would be a handful for any of us. At least you didn’t have to keep them…
FCM, never fun to discuss death, but hopefully it will give her some peace of mind.
swampy, wish we had some of your rain. May have to water the lawn after mowage this week, nothing in the 10-day forecast except hot.
OK, need to check on my trains (I’m a Virtual Railfan subscriber) and start getting ready for beddy-by. All y’all take care.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave. it’s only supposed to be in the mid 90s the next couple of days.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 99 with a heat advisory in effect all day. Also, it could rain early evenin’. Or not. We shall be quite active for us this mornin’ at least. We will attend a funeral at ten a.m. The dearly departed is a person I liked a whole lot as he was just what I call good people. This will be at the UMC church just down the road from the church house, so since I (we) shall be out that way I will also deal with candle duty. Then we get to go pick up ‘scripts. After that we shall waste the remains of a gift card from Newk’s for N.O.L. Finally we shall go to the Pubic Sto’ to procure provisions. Thus, for us, a veritable cyclone of activity!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, alack, and oh so much bother, I suppose I must purtify and don appropriate attire for funeralizin’. The service will be outdoors so we can look a bit more casual at least.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
I assume you turned the oven on so the pot pie would un-freeze…
And at the risk of overstating the obvious, feel free to dump your various whatevers in here. Even if noone has a magical answer for you, sometimes it helps just to unload, yanno? Even via PM if you’d rather. I’m sure any one of us would gladly lend an ear/eye/spleen… {{{shoe}}}
Starting my day with a load of towels and babby blankets in the washer. I swear, Tobias produces twice his body volume in drool on a daily basis! We thought he was teething early, but apparently he just leaks. And having him and Roxy together is a challenge - I can’t imagine five!
On the other hand, unless one squeezes out quints, chances are kidlets are accumulated one at a time, giving parentals a chance to adapt. FWIW, one of FCD’s cousins has EIGHT kids!! On purpose!! His aunt (their grandmother) has told us tales - like taking one of the kids grocery shopping and having him ask “How many gallons of milk, Grandma?” Each to his own and all that, but holy crap on a cracker, eight kids? I think the cousin works for Chrysler and the mom stays at home. Truly an anachronism of a family.
No big plans for today. I do have a load of clean dishes to put away, and I need to think about what to make for supper - I’m thinking chicken-grape-pecan salad., which means I need to pull out some chickie and get it cooked up. I’ve also got a check to deposit in the credit union - I may send that with FCD when he goes to the boat. And I’m sure other things will come up during the day, because life…
And so, Happy Wednesday!!
