First MMP by "Who?"

We’re doing the Mikado next year with my G&S group.

Little list.

Perhaps we should change your nickname to “The Cool One.”

By some miracle, our power is back, despite all of the downed trees around here. I was about ready to lob an extension cord over the wall and ask the firehouse for some power to keep the fridge alive as they were running on generator.

If nothing else, I now know that the UPS for my PBX will run the phones for 70 minutes, and despite new batteries, the one for my computer will conk out at 15 minutes.

Swampy, :smack: that was fixin’s for making French Toast (bread, eggs, & milk) cause we might get stuck inside for a whole few hours if apocalyptic rains ever end up apocalyizing. NOT French toads!

I’m expecting to see a new version uploaded to YouTube next week…featuring you.

Can I haz his name & address so I can add him to my List: Fine upstanding citizens who get Christmas cards! :dubious:
I went for a run & the rain decided to hold off until I was standing in my driveway. I went out on the deck & watched the heavens open up. Not that it would have mattered much if I wasn’t home yet as it was so hoomid that I was literally dripping. The good news is that it beaded up which means I don’t need to seal the deck again.

how many poopy diapers can someone the size of a watermelon make in one day? Answer: about 10! LOL

It did not get above 14 degrees Celsius and rained or remained cloudy the whole day today. Here, we get June showers, not April showers, and also April temperatures in June as well (it is still kind of cool). I hate CT climate and feel bad for my dad as he’s big on gardening and vegetable plants. He says how these plants are ready to grow and really just need a lot of sunshine but instead are getting rained on so much which is getting in the way of their growth and could potentially ruin some of them. :frowning:

:D:D:D

I’ve got so much to do tomorrow. I hope at least half of it gets done. Whenever I set a bunch of things for myself to do, it seems that only about half ever get done.

Should hit the ukulele again soon.

Celeste Faces

I need a beer run tomorrow. But OK other wise.

Lights filckered at work, and some things got tossed about, but I survived. Hockey Lady got hit again a little while ago.

: bangs head :

:eek::eek::eek:

First on six - woot!

Morning all, thank Og it’s Friday! I have a long day in the office with not a lot to do today, fortunately I have a long lunch with the girls planned in a couple of hours so that will keep me out of mischief for a while.

Watched an interesting programme last night on telly about cats and what they do/where they go when they’re out of the house. A pair of scientists went to a village and attached GPS trackers to 50 cats to see where they went and how far they roamed. It did make me realise that my mogs ‘timeshare’ on their territory, usually one is in the house while the other one’s roaming outside.

This weekend I’m off to see my doting parent so that will be fun, she will have a list of jobs for me and the one at the top is a trip to the garden centre to buy compost. She’s also managed to break her Kindle charger, or so she says, that may well mean she’s tried plugging it in the wrong way round. It’s not her fault, she’s 78 you know… Anyway I will see what I can do to remedy the problem, I’ll take my charger over so she can use that, and if she really has broken hers then I’ll see about ordering a new one from Amazon for her. It’s Father’s Day here so I’ve warned her she’ll need to book a table at whichever establishment she wants to patronise for lunch, and we’ll be taking some flowers up to the crematorium in remembrance of my dad who passed away 27 years ago. His ashes are buried in his parents’ grave elsewhere and we will not be able to visit until later this year so some flowers at the crem are the next best thing.

Right now though, time for tea!

This reminded me of a joke I heard a comic tell years ago: *The box of diapers says 12-15 pounds, but they don’t hold nearly that much before you have to change them… *

It’s a glorious morning here - cool and breezy. Temps are low 60s. If it hadn’t been for that rotten dog, I’d still be cuddled up in my bed. Oh well.

Daughter is stopping by on her way to school to leave the truck and pick up her car. **FCD **has a dentist appt at 8:30 - he’s got a broken tooth. While he’s getting his mouth fixed, I’m going to buy groceries. Busy morning all around.

Then we’ll work on more cedar parts. And I’ve got to make a cuke-onion salad - the motorcycle club is having a pot-luck cookout tomorrow and that’ll be our contribution. Maybe I’ll do something dessert-like also. We shall see.

Meanwhile, Happy Firday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 76 Amurrkin out and hyooooooooooomid already with a predicted high of ONL Y 92 for the day. Why that’s positively Winterlike!

Sounds like everyone survived Teh Apocalypse. Good to know.

Midget sounds like the idea of lettin’ your friend borrow your bass clarinet makes you right uneasy. Don’t want to sound like a grumpy ol’ meanie here, but my vote would be to say no because you’ll be usin’ it this Summer yourself. Wouldn’t be a lie because you want to use it and, well, it is yours after all.

MOOOOOOM make brownies. Bikers lurve brownie. I base this on first hand research because my sis once baked brownies to take to a party with a lot of biker folk and they gobbled 'em right up. I was there and had to fight for one. Ok, not really cause sis made me some for my very own but it was tough to get in there and get one at the party.

Apes Celeste is such a lil’ keyoooooooootie!

Tao I believe my “recipe” for collards is in the Mumper recipe blog. I’ll hunt it down and post it a little later.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Firday Y’all!

How cool is it to have the board working properly again on a Friday!

Hi all! Congrats to CatDude on the grandbaby! (He hasn’t been by yet to talk about her, yet, has he?)

Also, congrats to Muppet (who hasn’t been by in ages), who got married over the weekend).

Who?, number of pages per MMP varies quite a bit and goes down as we Northerners go into summer…

We’re having a lovely day (so far); no idea what the weather will be like later, but it’s all cheerful looking as I head into work on the bus.

Hugs all.

GT

I’m trying to remember the last time I saw or heard that on TV… and having to go waaaay back.

Glad so many got some rainage and coolery in the forecast. Our pores will transpire vicariously through you today.

It barely got apocalyptic at all last night. We got some good hard rain, but I didn’t even hear any thunder. Boring. But it’s in the low fifties this morning, and probably not going to get much above 70 today, which is like a perfect day for me.

Roomie is headed off to Maine for the weekend by noon, and I shall be alone with my thoughts and the pets. I’m going to go pick up some fabric for the quilt I’ll be working on at lunchtime, then after work I’ll run home and walk the dog, wait for the traffic to die down, and then go out for the rest of my supplies. After that, my goal is to neither put pants on nor leave the house until Sunday evening.

Dammit. I just realized I’ll probably have to put pants on to walk the dog. MY ENTIRE WEEKEND IS RUINED. Or I could just wear a sundress and keep to the spirit of the thing.

Anyone here missing a patio umbrella? We have a new one in the back yard, thanks to the storm.

Pretty sure it didn’t come from the fire house, so I’ll be nice and stick it in the front yard so people can see it and hopefully reclaim it.

I’m trying to work in the line, “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore”, but I got nothin’.

Hot and sunny here today. And to my delicate self huuuuuumid also.

It is Friday for which I am very grateful
